2v1: your opinion!

Hi guys, I'm setting up a game this weekend against my brother and his friend, orks and necrons, after tallying up my list I realised I have 2.5k worth of units, but about 5 heavy support slots, together their armies will get around the same size? It's not a factor of winning but should I just take my other 2 slots out to see how far I get with a couple hundred point disadvantage?

You could always just get them to lower they're points values a bit.

Or play a "small" apocolypse game. Thenyou can have as many heavies as you want.

Yeah I could do that, but my brother is a bit of a nub and cries if he loses any game, even if its a close match, so maybe I should try and lose?

I was thinking a bit of extended match with all my slots, but speaking of which, my space marine squads are stretched to bare minimum, 5 men per squad, 5 squads, so even my havoc squads are only 5 man, with 4 guns, I know I need meat shields but I figure the more feet on the floor the better for me.

I think there is about... just over 1000 of orks and roughly the same of necrons. so I'll see when the day comes, I'll add everything up and we will split the difference maybe? to be honest I feel kind of cocky because I know what I'm up against, and I can change my army to beat both necron and orks, but at the same time... I dunno but we will see ey?

I would say that to be fair, you should get 2 FOC's since they get em, but if you're lookin for a challenge then try only using 1. I find it's pretty tricky to face 2 armies at once, especially if 1 is shooty and the other choppy. They both get to play to their strengths and cover each other's weaknesses.

Or, maybe you'll just end up mowing down the advancing orks, and then moving on to the necron support....

I think 2 FOC for you is fair and 1 is for a challenge!
Games like this are always a good laugh to play!

I agree that either you get 2 FOC's or they have to share 1 FOC.

Also, never try and loose- that's not going to teach anyone, you or them, anything.

Do this.

They have:
1000 Necrons
1000 Orks.

You take your 1000 Chaos with 1 FOC.

You take the 2nd FOC..worth 1000, and put them in RESERVE.

This will give your brother and friend an advantage, and if you say he's a noob, and cries if he doesn't win, this may help him and your friend win.

The reserve FOC is a cool way of you being helped "in the nick of time"

and it lets them think they have the upper hand, until your help arrives ( the reserves)


I played this and it came down o the reserves pulling my fat out of the proverbial fire.
didn't work..bad die rolls..and i lost, but it was fun..
