If you want Eldar... there's the Eldar Prophecy that I know of. However, I own it, and it is a terribly written piece. It is indeed Fan Fiction, and I could likely find better work by a noncommissioned writer on some Xanga site or some such.

I bought the Dawn of War Omnibus, crappiest book ever. I didn't even finish it was so bad.

The books i most enjoyed was
The Ultramarines Omnibus including the latest one killing grounds
Planetkill,
Brothers of the Snake
Storm of Iron, Imperial Guard - Desert Raiders
Lord of the Night
Curse of the Necarch
Rune Fang
Knight Errant
Vampire Wars: The von carstein trilogy
Heldenhammer
Defenders of Ulthuan. Those are the only ones i have read at the moment i take ages reading one book these days. But i recommend them all to anyone.

My favorite Warhammer 40k novel has to be "The Last Chancers". Its written by Gav Thorpe. He's a great writer, and the other people i've lent the book to love it.

I picked up the Eisenhorn series (in one nice compact paperback) by Dan Abnett. I'm about 200 or so pages in and it is fantastic. Thanks for the advice!

4 words: LORD OF THE NIGHT. Awesome book with an awesome lead character in Zso Sahaal - a real must read novel.
