Hi. The most memorable and ONLY time I didnt loose a model, was during a game of Firefly. (Think WWII epic scale.) Geoff picked the beardiest late german list possible.(Suprise suprise...) Heavy S,S Kampfgruppe 1945. 5 Panther tanks for the BHQ, recce unit and full Battalion of TIGER II, (suported by a single Panzer grenadier company and divisional level Hummel artilery.) I used my 'characterful' Russian Tank Corps a mix of Russian and lend lease (American and British) tanks. Suported by 2 SMG companies and 2 divisional Katayushka (13 cm rocket) batteries , and 2 flights of ground attack aircraft (4 YAK 9). In 40k terms think ALL Terminator /Dreadnought/ Landraider army, vs IG planetary defence force! However my rocket batteries and ground attack air craft managed to supress his heavily armoured Tiger IIs and paralise the Panzer Grenadiers in thier starting positions...(VERY lucky dice rolls here...) Letting my lighter units out flank and take Geoff units apart ,one at a time. Everything went to plan for me ,the only time in 10000s of games! |

I've had it happen against me in Necromunda... and I probably did it at least once myself, with a bit of luck it's not hard when each side only has 7 models on the table. Most memorable time it happenned to me, was in a very dense terrain board, an inflitrating,flmaer-toting delaque managed to roast enough guys to make me run, whislt everyone else was pinned down from the enemy having managed to get superioiur firing positions. My Nomads couldn't stay still ,or they'd be flamed, but couldn't move so they could fire back because they got whipped by 2 overwatching Heavy Stubber-toting Heavies.

A full daemonbomb Slaanesh army complete with the siren daemon lord or prince or whatever. Third edition chaos. The problem? He was facing my SoB army. Quickest. Game. Ever. Not only did I not lose a single model, the game was over by my turn 1 shooting phase. Other than that, no, though I did get close once. I took on a GK army, at low points (around 500, I think, maybe 750-80 . I ended up losing, I think, only two genestealers and a spinegaunt.

I have pulled it off with my tau a bunch of times in combat patrol (with a cheesey list mind you). Ive done it twice with tau in normal games, once against orks, once against chaos. It happened in warmachine quite a bit. Sorscha rush=win button.

I managed that once....it didn't count. What didn't count happened yesterday, I finished my Warhound Titan *cheers* I challenged a friend to a 750 pt battle, no Force Organization Chart, and told him I'd have no infantry. Being a Guard player he thought I was being sarcastic...he was wrong... good times.

i've seen a marine army vs. a store managers army in bristol once. 3 or 4 units of 5 man terminator squads with 2 assault cannons. hq a librarium with terminator armour and terminator body guard. Not to mention an incredibly cool conversion of a 'nid carnifixes's head and tau drone conversion nicknamed bob as a familiar. two scout units with snipers lurking at the back. the store member got thrashed, just immobalising 1 of 2 dreadnoughts with 2 tank busta units. he gave up after turn two after over half of his army was wiped out including warboss and nob unit, 2 with power knlaws faile to kill, ANY terminators on the charge and getting killed.

Only played four games with my IG army so far, and lost all but one, the one being the slimmest victory I've known in a take and hold game, so no, not even close here...
