I had a game once against nids with my orks on vassal, I rolled snakes eyes for my SAG and my opponent felt sorry for me, so he let it slide, that turn I wiped out a bunch of gaunts, but Didn't realise they had without number, so that was a wasted shot, THEN the next turn I rolled snake eyes for the SAG again and he was a goner. I also had a squad of 30 full ork boys charge a tyrant, landing only about 3 wounds by the time it was all sorted out, and they were locked in combat for 2 turns before I gave up. OH and almost forgot, my anti tank havoc squad have yet to claim a single decent armoured tank to this day. With one lascannon and 3 missile launchers the most I get is a shaken result, and once I got a weapon destroyed, and I'm not fighting land raiders, I'm fighting vindicators or dreadnaughts.

Once, at my local g/w store, we ha a "battle royale" basically, you took a charector (any, even special ones) and faced off against the other 7 guys, everyone v.s everyone basically, and I choose the Throne of Judgement. I didn't make any of my hits in Close comabt against Yarrick, an he lowered me to one wound, then, a Cannoness came along and kille him, scared, but not in close combat with her, I fired my Multi-melta. Not. One. Wound. Nrxt turn I died, despite her using a escervator.

1 unit of Khornate Warriors left to kill, one Screaming Skull Catapult and 20 skellies ready to take them on. SSC fires, 12" guess is bang on, shot backscatters and wipes out most of the skellies. Warriors charge, overrun, and flatten the undead. Funny though |

Spore mine taking out the monolith. Biovore biting the head off of a warboss on a bike. Old-style Iron Warriors player (you know, the nine oblits with multiple defilers, etc) rolling 1s and 2s in an entire shooting phase with all the bassies, defilers, and obliterators. Space Marine drop pods (ie, the invincible deepstrike delivery system) scattering off the table, resulting in death. Typhus wounds Calgar three times...three 1s are rolled as saves, resulting in dead smurf. The next day, the same kid gets his smurf termie commander assaulted by kroot...rolls three 1s AGAIN. Vindicator cannon's 'guess' range combined with scatter actually caused the blast to hit its own rear armor resulting in a big boom.

Ooh! I thought of another most unlucky thing. Mega-battle, at the last UK LO meet. End of the final turn. The objective I was after was covered in below half-strength Space Wolf Packs (this was a 4th Gen game), and I had a weaponless Land Speeder able to capture/contest it. Only enemy contesting the unit is an Ionhead. I had about 4 assorted plasma weapons, some rapid-firing, and a couple of meltaguns to try and immobolise this Tau vehicle. Result: Absolutely bugger all damage done to the Ionhead, so I only manage to contest the objective. Didn't really matter, though, because the rest of my team captured the other 2 objectives. So as the only Imperial representative on a team of traitor scum, I failed :'(

In a local campaign run by a friend my Archon and Incubi retinue charged into combat agianst his Imperial Gaurd command squad. I forgotten quite which rules where used but I think it went something like this the 6 incubi and archon(overpowered I know) charge in killing all but two of the squad the commanding officer and a commissar(the only two out of reach). The resulting moral check failed and then using the commisars ability he shoots the officer for telling him to fall back and then ends up locked in combat. In the next turn the incubi all fail to kill him and his powerfist kills one this means i loose I fail the test break off and end up running away.

How about having 12 genestealers being unable to kill a the last 'ard boy in my friend's ork army for 3 turns? Or having my plasma cannon overheat EVERY SINGLE TIME I SHOOT! He's hit about twice in the time i've had him. Or my friend's lootas only hitting once no matter how many shots he has? and then one time i was doing an apocalypse battle with my Blood Angels against eldar and imp guard and i deep striked a 5 man assault squad with 3 plasma pistols behind a stormblade and took out its main cannon and some structure points. How the hell does a pistol take out a main cannon like that?

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | now that has to take first place as 'most unlucky thing ever', but its also a prety hight contender for 'luckyest thing ever', taking out a brass scorpion with a plasma pistol, my god.
