Most Unlucky Things

This topic is basically the opposite of the "most lucky things" topic, where you can post the unluckiest things that have happened to you.

During a game of Apocalypse against the Witchhunters, my Chaos Lord threw his vortex grenade at the oncoming Cannoness and her bodyguard. Safe to say he fluffed it and it scattered back on top of him, then proceeded to take out my Havocs, Land Raider and Baneblade before disappearing having done no damage to my opponent.

was playing a game of apoc wiht my m8, and in turn 2, i managed to get my winged tyrant into combat with his baneblade. being kitted out with 2 sets of sything tallons, he had 5 attacks, at strength 6, 2d6 armour penetration. ud think id do some damage right? wrong:

Combat1 (end of turn 2) 5 attacks, 1 gets through the armour, crew shaken
Combat2 (end of turn 3) 5 attacks, 1 glancing, 1 penetrating, demolisher cannon destroyed, 1 structure point gone
Combat3 (end of turn 4) 5 attacks, 2 penetrating, main armourment destroyed.....saved
Combat4 (end of turn 5) 5 attacks, 1 penetrating, 1 structure point gone

by this point my other tyrant and carnifex's had swept through his lines, so i comited another tyrant to the fray, managing to finaly destroy the bugger!!! BUT the resulting apocalyptic explosion killed my winged tyrant and took wounds off my on foot tyrant

i was at a RT in march and my ooponent was chaos as well as i, he had a defiler and the first turn it took out 1 full squad of marines(8 men)

hmm.. I can't think of any really specific examples right now.. but my Wolf Guard Battle Leader on bike always seems to forget to turn his Frost Blade on, and charge into a unit of MEq's, with 5 Str5 I5 Power Weapon Attacks, hitting on 3's, and 9 times out of 10 he does nothing more than make his ipponents slightly aggravated. However, he does also have a charmed life when it comes to armour saves..

lol, I had one game against my mate's guard, just him left, bodyguard dead, surrounded by about half an infantry-heavy Ig army, in combat. Kept fluffing all my attacks, but hitting on 4's, with 6's to wound and a 3+ armour save, they weren't going to kill him

~It wasn't me, but my friend was playing Orcs and Goblins and I was playing high elves at 1000 points. Turn one he shuffled his orcs forward, but on turn two every single one of his units rolled 1's on animosity. He had black orcs, who don't roll for animosity, but they were behind his regular orcs, so it did no such help. The next turn he rolled 1's again for everybody except his orc arrer boys, who coulnd't even see anyone.

~I'm sorry to say it was one of the shortest games that I've ever played, being only fifteen minutes... Deployment took longer...

I must say thats quite impressive, don't think I have ever played a game that has been that short, well done lol

This happened in a game yesterday. My sisters of battle VS Tyranids. I had 17 Boltguns, 4 Plasma pistols, 4 Flamers and 2 heavy flamers rapid fire shoot at a hive tyrant all with divine guidance and I did 0 wounds! Ouch!

By far my worst experiences all came in a single game. 3 distinct events happened in this game that let me know I was on a bad streak.

1) 8 man genestealer squad gets the charge off on a squad of greyhunters. They don't land a single attack, 24 (4th ed) rending attacks, hitting on 3's, wounding on 4's and I had nothing to show for it. and are killed to a man by return swings.

Yes, on 2 separate occasions, in the same game I had this happen. I also didn't land a single rend with my other 16 stealers. (they did get something like 2 wounds)

3) My fex did not pass a single 2+ armour save. 5 wounds, 5 saves dead fex.

All 3 of those happened in a single game. I was not pleased, I don't think I killed a single enemy model despite charging with my CC oriented nids.
