I got my hands on what I believe is a limited edition diorama of Felix, Gotrek and a 3 other d-bags on a resin base. I haven't seen any of these for sale on ebay or anywhere else on the net. I'm thinking of putting it up for auction at an upcoming Gaming Con at the end of the month. Any idea what it'd be worth?
It's a good question. Like anything of a collectible nature, it's worth what people will pay for it. Of course, that's an insufficient answer. Have you been able to find what it originally cost?
Well I found this on Google Trollslayer News & Archives (about mid-page) and it says that it goes for 60GBP which is $114.63 according to current exchange rates. But since this thing doesn't seem very popular I'm wondering if anybody even cares about it. Seems like a lot of cash for a non-playable set. ::shrug::
If its the set im thinking of it was released a while back by GW as a limited edition set marking the release of one of the Gotrek and Felix novels. The other 3 figures are characters from the books as well (Katrinia being one of them and cant remember the other 2) Did all the figures come in foil bags? Im not at home so cant check which White Dwarf it was in so if I get the chance Ill try find it and let you know the original cost?
No, all the figures and other metal bits came in one of those clear plastic snap cases that GW uses for most little box sets. The resin base (of approximately the same size as the plastic box) was placed next to it all in a little cardboard box. I can take some pics later tonight if you'd like. But if you click on that link I posted previously there's a pic of the diorama assembled and painted.
Thanks for all the help
Thats the one. The diorama was in WD319 and the display base and all 5 figures was £60 originally. The models then could be bought separate in the foil collecters pouch in GW stores.
Not too sure how much its worth now. Let us know how it goes.
Bah! The auction claims 15%. Screw that. I'm going to put it up for auction on Ebay tonight. I'll post the link when I do if anybodys interested.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll make sure to do that. What do you guys think is a reasonable starting bid? $50?
