Due to the popularity of 40k Challenge: Most Expensive Unit and a bit of request, here's a challenge for the most inexpensive unit you can come up with. Once again, no Transports or Apocalypse, and it all has to be from one FOC slot (independent characters and the like are indeed allowed). Let's see who's cheapest!

I got 2 that beat that.

1.a lone daemonhunters inquisitor- elite choice 20pts
2.an ork big gunz team w 1 kannon- heavy support choice 20pts
beat that i'll have to post an 11 pt guard unit hehehe

Can't beat that 11... but for a fast attack choice Tau can choose 2 Kroot Hounds at a total cost of 12pts.

The 11 point unit is sort of cheating if you take colnel schaffler and his last chancers you can split them up into up to 5 sub units if you take one sub unit with a single last chancer without any upgrades it's only 11 points.
Also if you take Creed and Kell they each act as independent characters (not exactly units) and kell doesn't cost a single point.
How do you get a squad of 2 kroot hounds in the tau empire and kroot mercinaries codexes you need to take squads with at least 10 kroot warriors?

Tau can only take kroot hounds in a squad of kroot carnivores,and you need at least 10 kroots( 70 points) to have a legal squad.
