I hope this will be a fun topic,
I think if we use some kind a scale that would be fun.
So 1 is not important. I don’t care at all about.
5 being is pretty fun and I like a session once a week or so.
10 being, arrgghhhhhhhh I live for 40k!!! I eat and sleep thinking about space marines!
I guess at that this moment in time, I would be about a 8.
I spend most of my working day online doing something related to G.W.
I go home and read a 40k novel when I outside having a fag. And then I paint
for a hour or two, then I pretty much have nightmares about Tyranids and Zombies,
and the end of the world at night.
How about you?
I AM BOOMER!
Bit of a tough one to answer really. I certainly enjoy the hobby and spend a reasonable amount of recreation time on it, but I'm not sure I'd actually consider it to be important at all. I mean, when I compare it to things that are REALLY important, it just pales into insignificance.
So I'm going to have to give it a 1. It's something I like doing, but it is just that - a recreational activity.
Good hobby? Yes
Important to my life? No
Vampire Counts-4000 Points
Black Templars-2000 Points
hard one actually, I mean, I haven't played that much, but I go on this forum every day so I give it a 4.

Hmmm... I rarely play these days, but I love the hobby, and this forum, but it's still something I do when I've got nothing else to do.... However, I do try and make time for a game as often as possible, so...
3/10 for me.
FABRICATI DIEM, PVNC
I would also have to give it a 1. I love the game and love the concept just don't put much time into it. I only get in a handful or two of games a year (been 4 months since the last one) and I have an enitre cahos army put together but unpainted. It is mostly a winter thing I guess.
As fas as 40k novels tho....I read them all the time. It's the only kind of books I read actually.
I love the hobby for all the thing it offers me but there are far more important things to me than warhamer.
I call it a 6-7.
Other things have come up in my life, and I don't have as much time for the hobby as I once did.
Interesting responses so far - much more negative than I would have expected.
There are two constants in my life over the last two decades: my family, and my toy soldiers.
For me, this hobby has been part of my life for 20 years. It lead directly to me meeting some of my dearest friends, who I still know, and game with today. Indeed, one of them is painting a bloodbowl team opposite me as I type.
The hobby is an escape from the stresses of everyday life, a great social activity, an outlet for my creativity, such as it is.
This hobby is not the be-all and end-all for me; if I couldn't play with my little men, then my band, my growing pile of unread books and whatever tasks my girlfriend can come up with for me to do will keep me occupied for the forseeable future...
...but this hobby has shaped my life in so many ways...
hmm... i'd say about a 5.
I plan on what army I'm gonna buy next, and how I'm gonna paint stuff, and when I'm gonna go to the shop next.
But it's usually alot of planning. I have better places to spend my hard-earned cash now, and alot of my time gets eaten up with other things.
However, I still squeeze in time to work on Army Builder, and cruise around here, and work on a project on another forum.
