So do you have an entire army, possibly an oversized one, that you no longer play or maybe never did play that often? Now it's just collecting dust and you think about it every so often, buried in its owner's tomb-like closet?
An old Tau army that gave way to a Skaven army that lapsed at the machinated claws of a Battletech army?
Maybe there's a plastic bin filled with Hero Clix somewhere?
So what skeletal armies do you have in your closets?
Tell us your spookiest tale.
Dear All Concerned,
I think the worst is that I probably have a decent amount of points in Space Marines, but none of the units are practical, or could not be applied practically...

LOTR. Several thousand points laying around the wasteland that is my bedroom in various states of disrepair due to several years disuse.
i have many many skelletons in my closet, most are NIB or NoffS
1500pts Dark Angels
i know im horrendously bad at collecting and never getting anything done.
May the "Nurgley Goodness" protect you!
I have hobbits in my cupboard, hundreds and hundreds of them.
They still only come to<500 points mind
I have 1500 points of Tau languishishing between display case and sprues. I started the army back in third edition, won several small games and did OK at a local combat patrol tourney. A year ago I decided to expand it into a fluffy mobile force and repaint it with to a higher standard. Then everything seemed to go haywire. The Command & Control gear on my shas'0 got the axe by fifth edition. The pirhanas got nerfed. My new painting scheme, which looks great, turned out to be excessively labor-intensive. So now it's sitting unused with a skyray, devilfish, pirhana, and hammerhead still waiting in their primercoats while all the troops and elites sit around in their spiffy new paint jobs waiting for some support.
I have about 3k of space marines sitting in a closest that I have barely used since I got them (late 3rd ed).
The worst part is I cannot make a sensible army out of it, it has a total of 3 troop choices (5 scouts and two old tactical squads) and the rest is over-geared heavy support or HQ choices.
Ironically for thsi reason alone it shall forever remain in my closest, a warning to me to never build an army on a whim again.
I have about 5000 points of old orcs and goblins,
1500/2000 points of old vampire counts and
3000 points of old lizard men
Wood elf player- 2000 points worth, Autumn theme
Empire player - 3000 points worth, Green and white
Eldar player - 1500 points worth, Blue and white
Until I picked the hobby back up, my Necron army was sitting abandoned in a crappy shoe-box in a bookshelf for 3 odd years.
My models don't get much attention in general, need to paint and play and model alot more often than I do.
