Which army in Dawn of War is the closest to it's Warhammer 40000 equivilent and it's background?
Also can you please give a reason for your answer, by voting in a poll you are letting people know what you think but it would be good if they also knew why you thought that, thanks.

necrons, because they're slow and hard to kill, as they should be. Also, if you do the trick with the res orb, they're also incredibly persistent.
I think the necrons represent their fluff well when they win, but not when they lose.
They all are, sort of.
The Guard have very little strength and firepower, but they do have numbers. The only thing that doesnt go along with their fluff is that they can use the Vindicare Assassin without an Inquisitor.
The space marines do too, its just that one would think they would be harder to kill. Same for the Chaos marines and Witch Hunters.
The Tau have a helluva lot of fire power but no assault power, that holds true.
Eldar. well, I dont know a lot about them. Same for the Dark Eldar.
Orks are true as well, high numbers. But they have better accuracy in the game than they are supposed to, and they are easier to kill too.
Necrons are the farthest from their fluff, I think. When the lord "dies", arent they supposed to flee the field of battle?

No necrons phase out when 75% of the army has been eliminated. not when the lord dies. I choose chaos. As they have some powerful closecombat units (berzerkers and Possesed) as they are in 40k plus the oblitorators fit very well too.
The Decayed Ones 2500 points of nurgly goodness.
Necron- Ice Wraiths of Scy-mir 2000+
Imperial Daemon Hunters- 1500
I stand corrected. They still dont meet the fluff though, they dont flee at all in the game. And they are pretty easy to kill.
What, no Tyranids? From the brief glimpse I've seen in the trailer they are more fluffy than any of these armies.
I think he means current DOW armies, not future ones.
