Screw this. Replace the X-Box 360 that was stolen
So, I'm rather torn on what to do, and while I don't let my life be ruled by online polls and the like, I do think it'd be interesting to see what others would do in my situation. So, what would YOU do if you had the cash to pick up a Warhound lying around, from the list I've given above?
EDIT: CLARIFICATION OF QUESTION. READ ME BEFORE ANSWERING POLL OR ASKING QUESTIONS.
Okay, clarification to define the scenario better:
Having found oneself in a nice bit of spare money, with a comfortable reserve beyond it, which is enough to purchase UP TO a Warhound Titan, what would YOU do?

Balance the Imperial budget! Be sensible and save it. You may need it for something more important somewhere down the line even though having one would be cool.
Currently play: 4000+ of Black Legion
In such uncertain times you should probably save it, or buy tinned food for your bomb shelter!
But I say get the warhound, it is rare that you have such money just lying around, you may as well enjoy it.
Arch Overfiend & Grand Despot
I currently play:
Doom Eagle Space Marines
Hive Fleet Omega Tyranids
Goff Ork Boyz(dead)
Tau of O'me
Inquisitorial Xeno Hunters
and my attempted foray into fantasy
'Dark Angel Green' Dark Elves in need of fluff
what exactly is your position?
You haven't been very clear in your post...
Do you collect IG? Do you collect Tyranids? Do you collect Chaos? Do you like barges? How do you feel about bananas? Will you go to university? Do you like girls with short hair?
Give us some details man!

Do you have just enough for the Warhound, or are you minted? If you have a loads of money then go for it, but if you are a poor student, then I would say Save it, or get a 360, as you will get tons more fun from that!...
Pretty conclusive so far. This close to Christmas and with new stuff coming out early in the new year, seems best to hold on to it.
Will you REALLY use a titan? Everyone I know who has one bought it and either never assembled it or did, and never painted it. Of the people who got as far as building it exactly one person has used it in ONE apocalypse game. Big ol' white elephant if you ask me - nice model, largely useless.
Save it. I've learned to wait 2 weeks before making any decision about buying new 40k stuff and i end up deciding i want something else. If after 2 weeks you still want it, get it. Live now.
If you dont want it as much, what i would do is save it for the new guard stuff next year. If they do plastic greatcoat guard it will be mint. A new army or normal reinforcements will be far more usefull than a great big thing that comes out on special occaisions.
Screw saving it! Buy the warhound!!! How often do you have the spare cash to do that? In years to come when you're eating cold baked beans out of the tin, at least you can look proundly at your Warhound and reflect on the pleasure that you got from building and painting and smashing your opposition into the mud!
Titans rock, I've got a Revenant and it's super-duper. Join the elite club of the titan owning brethren.
Carpe diem my friend, no guts no glory and certainly no warhound titan!!
On second thoughts, dump the Warhound, get a loan and buy a Reaver to show that your serious!

i have disposable income, i could buy a few of anything on the FW website if i cared to, but i don't (i bought exhaust and intake for my truck instead). you have to weigh the possibilities. if you are young and not out on your own, i would say go for it only if you play often enough that Apoc games are common. otherwise you got a very expensive but pretty paper weight.
Right now i am saving mostly because everyone screams 401K or retirement and in this economy there is no way im doing either. i have my own plan for saving which im near. now once that goal is met i will be able to buy what ever my wims fancy (oh wait they do that now). i love GW and FW minis but they are costly and after you sit down and mull over how much you have spent and what else you could have gotten with that that you really need then you begin to start weighing how badly you need that model.
I want a FW Death Guard army and i have slowly been collecting the models by selling old stuff i never use or are interested in, so far i have sold 2 video game MMO accounts and 2/3 of my Epic collection and it has actually bought my entire army.
But that is me and not you. If you do not have expenses then buy what you will, but think about how often you will use it and if it will be worth it to say "look at me i got a titan!!!!!11ONEone!!1" and have most of its life sitting on a shelf.
May the "Nurgley Goodness" protect you!
I want one. I'll rarely use it, i know, and i'd spend months making and painting it, and i'd love it like a small resin son (not as much as my actual son, of course).
If i could, and had no other financial commitments (My overdraft stops me from going "bug#er it" and getting one) and safe future financially (e.g. not being worried about my job) i'd do it, and lavish my free time on it.
but today, in these climes i wouldn't. In fact, i'd poke ebay for cheaper ones. I reckon i, personally should save any spare cash for the end of january / going into next year as people flog off stuff when they realise they can't make it after getting it as a gift or hit financial difficulty. (Assuming wife doesn't work out i'm doing so and spend it all on tree decorations / spoiling nephews / god only knows, or i don't have any financial upsets myself)
I'd say save it. If you're going to get one get a cheaper, second hand one. (I saw one for buy it now for £200 the other day and it was a Jackal - the type i really want. I looked at it for 10 mins trying to figure out how to live off beans for the next month, or get away with not getting any christmas presents for anyone. It went half an hour later. I was sad.)
