okay that's only a rumor set for in a few years but still, time had mostly proved me right.
so here goes
5ed beginning with the new SM codex, most rules or mostly the special F.O.C armies will be attached to GW special characters. what it means..well simple that the most recent chaos dex we got will be redone again. edition to edition the rule set as a life span if i may say so of approx 5 years.
after reading and reading and reading again the things to come i'll leave the game for good
the modeling part has been great but the game as a whole as lost all interest for these reasons.
all is locked on the most big pocket wins
there are more grey unpainted armies than ever
teens on their power trip play all the same darn armies
when i convert is certainly not to have some silly count as unit
rules and fluff don't match anymore
GW treat us, the customers like if we where dumb, buy this because the rules say it does that.. i just don't adhere to that
if i wanna play with plastic soldiers there is out there many other games with a already better systems ( heavy gear blitz, classic battletech, warmachine, chronopia )
a good rule set is not supposed to change or mutate only be fixed when it is due
This is my Bolter. There is many like it but this one is mine. My bolter is my best hobby.....And i still hate dragons. Find out More at http://necrohammer-at-war.blogspot.com/
To the OP, why not collect WHFB or some other GW game? There are tons of great Specialist Games out there that don't seem to have your drawbacks. Seems a little harsh to draw conclusions about GW from one game. Again, just a thought.
LN speaks the truth. THELuc, you're welcome to start a thread with an actual point to it, but simply ranting and telling us you're quitting the hobby doesn't quite cut the mustard here, sorry
