I for one am sick of these prices. $60 for a f%^&ing Land Raider. $60. Does GW honestly think that normal people can afford this, let alone the kids they are trying to target as of late? Hell no! They think they have us in the palms of their hands, they think they have control. They think they can do whatever they want, and we'll put up with it. No. It ends here. They are not in control. You CAN stop buying their stuff. Just play with what you have.
"But what can I do? I'm just one person."
I know that if enough people cease their financial support of GW, they will have to act if they want to stay in buisness. Think about it. If even half the people on all these message boards and usergroups didn't buy GW products, do you realize how much money they'd lose? It'd be a HUGE loss. Games Workshop has taken their customer support for granted. It ends here.

Yo dude, I'm not complaining. However, what everyone COULD do is stop buying ANYTHING GW-related, right when the new rules come out.

That'll teach them.

Meanwhile, we can all learn to play Warmachine, Confrontation, and DnD.

[Rant]If you don't like it, don't play Warhammer/Warhammer 40k. They have to have high prices, or they won't get any prophit. They don't make the prices high intentionally to rip us off, they do it so they can get some money back. It costs money to make the models you know.

Most staff at my local Games Workshop aren't the most well off people, so why do you complain? If anything, the prices will rise. <_< [/Rant]

it is the freaking GW Corporation that gets all the cash, not the nice, friendly people working their asses off for the Corporation!!!!!

I have since stopped buying White Dwarf due to its increace in price, I can buy other such magazines (Metal Hammer, New Scientist etc) that are just as thick and half the price (and I learn more). You are correct when you say that the nice people that work in the stores get pittance, the people at the top are getting all the money. My friends and I play 40k all the time but non of us have bought anything for well over a year due to the ever increacing prices. Now we play D&D, Lan based computer (Homeworld2, C&C etc) stratagies and other free form Role Play games (such as Matt's Gangster RP which is amazing! And the group Zombie RP which is all the fun and joy of RezziEvil but doesnt rot your eyes and much more interactive.) Have any of you here created a 40k based role play? Im talking individual characters like D&D not whole scale war. Its so much more fun!!! I have a Dark Eldar character and Im having a rivalry with one of my subordinates that wants my position.
Get a life, play Role Playing games

Even if every member on the forum stopped buying from GW they would hardly notice it, there are millions of people who play warhammer around the world and a lot more who just buy it and paint it. If you could get loads of people (tens of thousands) to stop buying GW products (which you can't) then all you would do is push prices up more. Wonderful. Maybe try thinking ideas through a bit more. If you compare GW to other model companies they are about the same price. I am not particularly bothered by the prices and I know that if I want something expensive then i'm just going to have to save some money and buy it. Then what would you plan to do next? Persuade millions of people to not buy PS3 when it comes out and make sony sell it cheaper? Something tells me it won't work.

***** happens and prices rise. capitilism spreads and the rich get richer.

its getting more expensive to make models and the value of the £ to the $ isnt getting better. i remember when it was a tenner for 10 tactical marines.

There is nothing we can do about, it, if gw started to lose money they would have some price changes but they wont they are roling in it at the moment. The few people in these boards stopping wont do anything.

If you dont like the prices of the stuff try buying it second hand or off ebay.
