    5th edition rules?

So i was gone from the game for awhile, im back now but there is one slight problem. I heard a new set of rules came out for 40k. Enough to chnage the game but not enough to warrant me buying another 50 buck book for them. So does anyone know where i can find a copy of the new set of rules?
    Thx

If youre not willing to splurge for the big book, then assault for black reach is a really good deal, includes the pocket version as usual.

you could even sell off the minis and break even, or close to it if youre not in the mood for orks and marines.

Legally, you can get it from GW, or try and find it second-hand or from independent stockists for a slightly lower cost.

Otherwise, you might be able to find a scanned, poor-quality illegal copy which you can't use at any GW event through google, which I don't personally reccomend, but it's still an option.

I feel I should remind everyone that exchanging or discussing how to get copyrighted material for free is WAY against forum rules. Note that this is not an accusation: Nobody here (not even Wolf Lord Herby) has done this YET, but I thought I'd nip it in the bud before we get there.

That said, to the OP: There are places where you can get the "Reader's Digest" version of the rules that is sold with the Black Reach set for maybe $15 US. While GW doesn't offer it this way, some Google-Fu or EBay-Fu should locate them. It's perfectly legal, and cheaper than a codex.

The rules (Clicky!) Read 'em, know 'em, love 'em.

Yeah, a friend of mine got the BR mini book for £10 off of ebay which has the whole unabridged rules section in it, then he got a reeeealy cheap version of the previous rule book for the background (but mainly 'cos it was so cheap).

If you don't want to splurge on a book I could only recommending borrowing a mates while you make up your mind, or learning the new rues through playing someone.

However I always like to have a handy copy of accurate rules. Personally however I think the new edition is a big enough change, and the new background sections interesting enough h to warrant the new hard back book (if you play regularly enough). Alternatively the miniature in the VBR box are really quite nice and i'd recommend buying that set (I have both the big and little books)
