Does anyone eles have can't finish stuff (SUB word lol) syndrome? For me it entails the fact that i have a semi completed nid army, meaning i still have some unconverted units left to go. I have about one k of eldar and i have not even played a competitive game with them. Finally im about to buy black reach which will probaly make me want to start space marines.
So what im wondering is if any one else has this same problem? If so what do you do to try and counter it or do you try to counter it?
Thanks for you input.
In the words of Kyle from Avenue Q, "Yes I do"
Currently my WHFB backlog is ridiculously high (three digits), and most of my Skorne (from Hordes) are unpainted. I convince myself to get the latter done by having a blog running, which should hopefully help me set deadlines, and the former, I get done by telling myself that I might, by some crazy defiance of probability, make it to next year's LO Meet, and that if I do make it, I'll want a fully painted army. So now I'm going round, fixing and painting everything.
It's not like I mean to or anything, but it just sort of... happens.
I was working on a Tau army. I got busy, there wasn't anyone around who played 40K all that much, and it sort of stalled.
I started on Fantasy when I found some players in the local area, and was working my way through an army with the aid of the Tale of Painters. I didn't complete the challenge, and got a bit disillusioned and decided to have a bit of a break, though I'm gradually getting back in to that army.
And I have several boxes and blisters for a Sisters of Battle army arrayed on a table somewhere, waiting for be to get to. I've told myself I'm not allowed to touch them (too much) until I finish my Vampire Counts.
It's working thus far. My poor Tau aren't happy about this arrangement, though. (I haven't forgotten you guys, honest! I promise I'll come back and finish you... hey wait, what are you... are you pointing that rail-gun at me? Argh!)
Yup, I've got several units of Dark Elves, Tau fire warriors, Sky Ray, and now a Drop Pod and Telion all awaiting attention. Oh and the marines from black reach

I think anyone who has been in this hobby for more than 6 weeks has a steadily growing collection of "lead under the bed" - I know I have a ton of it. I have to say the incentive to paint a full force is helped by posting updates to by army project thread here on LO though, I think it genuinely does help
Yes, yes I do. I have a good 2,000 points of Witch Hunters, 2,000 points of daemons (Both assembled), 1,000 (More) of Night Lords, 1,000 of World Eaters, and 1,000 of Word Bearers all staring at me mockingly from their foam/from the boxes they came in. I just find partway through each project I lose interest untill a later date, and so tend to rotate doing a squad of each.
Hopefully this won't happen when I do my big daemon (Angraath) after christmas, then I will crack on with my World Eaters.

hi im jikil and i have a problem.....
ok so i have roughly 6000 pts of dwarves wating to be painted and some more converting (and huge airship) to finish about half the dwarves are painted all assembeld. im starting vcs and im afariad ill forget about them
I have never had a painted army. The closest I've been to owning one was when I painted up a combat patrol for my Sisters of Battle...
Simply putting it, getting a painted army is not a nr. uno priority for me. Getting together with my friends and having a good time is. While it would be cool with a fully painted army, it's not something that I crave and really aim to achieve. But don't get me wrong, I love to paint and wouldn't be in the hobby without that particular aspect.
