I know they say Genestealers are part of the Tyranid swarm, but to me it's obvious that they are just the evolution of the serious miniature painters among us. Look at the evidence:

Hunch-backed, bent over posture from too much time leaning over a table to hold the mini in just the right light / angle.

Extra arms - obviously developed to aid in assembly, and to make it easier to wash burshes / open paints without putting miniature down.

Wanton bloodlust and desire to create carnage - comes from years of the tiniest little bristle on the brush sliding up the bit of the miniature you are trying to avoid getting paint on.

If anyone can think of any more reasons to support my theory, I'm more than willing to listen, but I think the facts are pretty conclusive already

The long tongue is a result of the bad habit of licking the tip of the brush after rinsing it (a habit I myself have fallen victim to). I wonder if Gene Simmons is actually a miniature painter who has evolved slightly?

And this whole "enslaving whole planets" thing is just a by-product of explaining Warhammer to everyone. And they explain it to the next person and so on until everyone is a Warhammer gamer.
Giving the 'illusion' of a cult.
And of course the gamers want to protect the president tof their gaming-club (being the genestealer) and thus fight fearcely to protect him (her).
And those psychic beacons...
Are like long distance telephone calls to other World-gaming-clubs, offering them to a tournament.

Its not their fault Tyranid Hive ships keep intercepting those calls and devouring their gaming clubs.
