Hey I've got a real quick question about whether their is a big difference between the 4th edition SM codex and the 5th edition codex. Any help would be awesome thanks.
The difference is as big as the difference in size between Earth and Jupiter.
Ok thats a pretty big difference! I was just wondering because the 4th edition is going on amamzon for like $2.43 and the fifth is going for like $30. Thanks for your help. I guess im going to have to break down and buy the 5th edition codex thanks again.
Yeah, you really should buy 5th. I know it's more expensive, but you'll need it.
Just to underline;
Alot of unit stats /points will be different from 4th to 5th and alot of units in the 5th codex wont be in the 4th.
Thus making 4th useless other than for the artwork and the fluff really.
Thats cool I just went out and droppped the money and got the book. Soon my marines will taste the heaven blood of its enemy.
If you're a fluff nut, the 5th edition codex has a TON of additional stuff besides just the army list. Also if you're a fluff nut, I'd suggest going ahead and picking up the $3 previous edition codex as well.
As said, ruleswise, there are some gigantic differences including upgraded units and wargear, new units and a wide variety of new and amazing special characters. Really not something you want to be passing up.
5th all the way. it is so worth the $$$ and then the new space marine codex.....So many new shiny toys.
