Hey, thanks for the trip down memory lane, when White Dwarf was a magazine worth purchasing by anyone interested in miniatures gaming, and WH40K was really something new.
If you would really want to see the difference between a miniatures company run by gamers and a game corporation that sells miniatures, hunt down issues 100-150 of White Dwarf and compare the articles, miniature releases, and graphics to those in the recent issues.
Two Land Raiders for £9.99. Man they were the days! I only started collected during 2nd/3rd edition, so it's good to see the very beginings of the hobby!
Some of the models look really dated now, but some bits, like the chainsaws on the very first models, I think look better than the ones on models now!...
