For everybody. What is that one miniature/card/board game that you wish people still played.
For me it is mageknight. The whole fantasy meet steampunk thing got me and the origional version of the game was endlessly enjoyable. The 2.0 system killed it in record time sadly.
I'd also like to play more BattleTech. It's a quality game and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys 40k but wants more detail.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
I play Battletech. If you want to give the game system a try go to mekwars.org download the java client and you can play the game over the computer.
Blood Bowl. Still my favorite game ever produced.
Mordheim for me. Though it is not really 'dead' per se (its not that hard to convince people to play it, they only need to bring 6-10 of the models they already own), but I wish some official balanced rules would appear. I say; Mordheim is knocked down, but is not stunned!
Vor: The Maelstrom.
It was a tabletop miniature game like 40k, but worked off of a D10 system instead of using D6's. I honestly think it could have been one of the top games if the company owning it hadn't overextended itself. One of the coolest things about it was that it had rules in the main book for creating your own race/army
I would probably be playing it as my primary game instead of fantasy right now if it was around.
it doesnt look like it will ever come back though, parts of the game are owned by 3 different people/companies who wont get together.
"I am the architect of fate!"
Dark Future. It's the one game I want to learn to play but can't make the board and all the required pieces.
I really wish that more people played BlueMax/CanvasEagles. It's somewhat akin to Aeronautica Imperialis, but takes place in WW1 and uses a slightly better system than the 'cards' for movement.
Wouldn't mind seeing more BFG played around here either. Eh-hem!!
CAV was good too.
the warhammer naval game was good too. Can't remember the name at the moment.
and finally: WH40K THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED!
Hmm... A tough decision. Iwould choose Batllefleet Gothic if it counts (I know it is still available, but theres no support/official rulings/new models for it.)
Or Heroquest, i'm a big fan of Heroquest.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
