just getting back into the hobby, and ive noticed totalwargamer now charges £2.50 for postage, so it got me wondering, what would you expect from a good independant stockist?
15% off and pay for postage?
10% off and free postage?
loyalty scheme - spend £1, get a point worth £0.01
Lets try to keep this real.
Personally i think 10% off and free postage, would be good to see again
Shipping is expensive, so I see no reason to expect free shipping on all orders. On larger, more expensive orders, sure, but not else.
I expect them to keep the time schedule for sending an order, unless they contact me and tell me otherwise. If it says 2-5 business days, I don't want to wait 7.
And yeah, 10-15% cheaper is reasonable.
is thewarstore the only decent usa 40k selling website or are there others? I used to have a lot of bookmarks for that kind of thing but my comp died and i didnt get them off in time. I notice most of the links people offer here use the euro or the gbp and shipping from europe is expensive =p.
as to the OP's question, I prefer ebay so far. I've gotten 80% off and free shipping for quite a large amount of marines including some OOP ones I like. The tradeoff I guess is that you can get screwed (although in this day and age with paypal and ebay's guarantees it is a lot harder to pulloff a scam on ebay) or get something that is of worse quality than you thought.
What? The Warstore has a massive stock! Warhammer, 40k, Hordes, Warmachine, Infinity, Rackham, Alkemy, Urban War lots and lots of smaller publishers... About everything you could ever need!

I don't mind whether they give a smaller discount and free delivery or a larger discount and charge for delivery, because when it comes down to it you end up paying roughly the same overall anyway.
Thanks for the link to Bunker5, Pimp My Rhino. That looks like a good site, it's just a shame that their range is a little small at the moment.
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.
