I am currently in the market for a new army transport case, and my choice so far has fallen on the KR Double Size Aluminium Multicase.
But from browsing the site and trying to plan out my setup, I have only ended up extremely confused about what will serve me the best.
Preferably able to hold my entire Warriors of Chaos Army (Girlfriend wants her dinner table back) which consist of a fairly high amount of cavalry models as well as a decent bunch of infantry.
Should be able to include:
100ish Infantry (Chaos Warriors Size)
3-4 Monsters (Spawn, Giant, Shaggoth, Dragon)
Anyone have any experience with a good setup they can recommend that will solve most of my above needs?
I would also like to hear if anyone have bad experience with the KR Alu cases and would like to recommend another alternative.
I've heard good things about the KR Aluminium Cases. I have two of the card ones at present, but I am buying a double aluminium one soon, like yourself, to hold my Orks for the LO Meet.
For your 100 Warriors you should get three of the 32mm-deep 36 compartment trays (code KRF3T). That will give you 108 slots within which you can easily fit two Orks or one Marine, so I would be confident that WoC can fit too.
Next you will need a 110mm deep tray for your monsters, one which you can pluck yourself to make the right gaps. If you take a whole one of these trays that will be your whole case used up, so you could consider a half tray of 110mm deep (code: KRD1H).
So far your case looks like this:
|_______32 mm tray_______|
|_______32 mm tray_______|
So you have the bottom right to fill in. Here you could fit three half trays of 32mm deep to fit the cavalry. Try the pick and pluck ones so that you can create the spaces you need. But now thinking about it.. 60 Calvary in a space that would usually fit 54 infantry? It's not going to fit. But if you can manage to fit two infantry Warriors in most of the slots in the top three trays (this is doable - I have these trays and can fit two Orks or two Space Wolves in most of the slots, besides the absurdly posed ones) this should give you at least an extra tray and a bit more to customise for cavalry. It will be a tight squeeze, but I think you can do it.

I have ordered twice from KR multi-cases. Once to get a double sized Aluminium one, and more recently to get both a triple sized aluminium case, and their dice/tape measure case.
Both times have been a pleasure, and I intend to purchase again. As Pierced said, the sizes in the foam are suprisingly large. I can fit most of my chaos marines into a 23mm foam (The only exceptions are the Berzerkers with the running legs), so they should fit warriors of chaos in fine.

Thanks for the input guys.
I emailed KR cases and asked them to help me with a setup with my specs, and their service is excellent!
I got a reply with the following setup
KRF2T - 36 cavalry (assumed not charging)
KRF2H - 4 cavalry plus the warhounds
2xKRF4H - 36 infantry (wider compartments for more posed figures)
KRV1H - upto 6 monsters 110mm tall
4xKRN4H - 80 infantry
And decided to place an order on that setup. As the others in this thread I can highly recommend the company. (assuming the order arrives)
Received my Case today, so thats an extremely satisfying delivery time. 3days from UK to Denmark. I am impressed !
