I was considering ordering from Forge World and I was wondering if anyone has had problems ordering from them or are they just that freaken awesome?
Also was wondering about the qualities of there models and how long do they take to ship ( to the US)?
1. wrong forum to post this as this one is meant for supplements
2. some people seem to have a lot of bad luck with it but sofar I haven't had a single problem for the last 6 years
3. sometimes the quality is just awesome like when the they have a new mould, when the mold is really worn you'll get a bigger drop in quality
4. shipping depends on wether you have normal or UPS express.
5. in case you do have any problems with your kits, missing or damaged parts of sub par quality don't email FW but call them you have a much better chance of contacting them and getting your problems sorted

OH did not know. My bad. So admin person, dude. can you please move it to the right area?
Also Thanks for your answer and correcting me. ^_^;
They are just that awesome!
My gaming group have all had pretty good luck with FW. We've made quite a few orders and are still happy with it all. The orders have all been accurate and shipped in a timely manner. (I'm in the U.S.) FW models are pretty fantastic with their detail. The resin they use can sometimes be brittle or it comes warped. A little warm water soak and you can get it back to shape. The other main issue with resin is cleaning it. If you don't clean it well enough, the paint won't stick from the mold lube they use. Do a search through the site or web and you can find more tips with working with resin.
Anyways, I am a huge fan of the models from FW. Take the plunge. (of course, it gets addicting. My brother has almost completed a full Krieg army, including lots and lots of FW Superheavy tanks)
There are quite a few forums on here. I'm not quite sure where the best location for this thread would have been, but no worries. You could have made your post more specific about what you are thinking about ordering (army) and stuck it in that army forum. (of course, they may not be happy with it either there. haha) This is good enough for the moment.
Oh, and welcome to LO! Kick off your shoes and get comfortable. These are good forums to be at with a lot of helpful people!
Moved to the correct subforum.
I have had generally positive experiences with forgeworld. when you phone up, the staff are always friendly and happy to help. However their postage time varies greatly. If you can, I would reccomend getting a large group of you together, and getting over the £250 threshhold for Express postage free. Not only does this save you a fair bit on postage, but it also puts your order on priority. When I ordered my warhound, it arrived the day after I ordered it (Though that is to the UK), because it was on express postage, whereas my Bloodthirster took over 2 weeks, and a friend is still waiting of his Keeper of Secrets (3 weeks and counting).
Their stuff is generally very high quality, with a few mistake. Prepare to be cleaning off Mold Lines and excess resin though. I have had a few times where there has been warpage, but only once has there been sufficient damage that I had to phone them up (And, within 2 days, there was a replacement here. It was onlyu a rhino door, so I was impressed).
I have also had pieces missing befor,e but again, I phoned them, gave it a week, and there was a replacement waiting on my doorstep.
So, yes, I have very little bad to say about forgeworld. their prices might be high, but when you open that box and see all the pieces, you know where the extra money has gone.

I support Riptors suggestion of ordering as a group to get that free upgrade.
Examples for are, I live in the Netherlands btw, ordered on sunday afternoon - arrived tuesday morning, ordered tuesday at night - arrived thursday morning.
Me and a group of friends made a large order but that only slowed the order down. It took a long time to cast all the models and ended up taking two months to get here. A long time to wait but i'm hoping this was a one of experience.
Still I was thrilled when my models got here. And there were no problems with mismoulds or anything.
Add me! Let me know your forum name too! =)
was it large enough to upgrade to express?
Forgeworld is amazing. Truly amazing. The models are fantastic, brilliantly detailed, and while they're expensive you certainly get the quality you pay for. They really are just that awesome, and the customer service is pretty damn good as well, so if there's a problem they'll rectify it quickly.
