I play both games, but I play WHFB most frequently. I don't want this to turn into a "which system is better" argument, but I personally find WHFB to be more entertaining. As someone who plays both games, I find that the sheer number of individual Races (not to be read 'armies') and Universal Special Rules like psychology, as well as the decentralization of the rules (WHFB features variable movement values) makes the game more entertaining.
I have several of the WHFB armies, but the two that I use most frequently are my Vampire Counts, or my first army, the High Elves. On the rare occasions that I play 40k, I use a heavily converted army of Space Marines.

I only play 40K, I don’t dislike WFB, I believe the rules are more in depth and probably make for a better game than 40K but none of the armies really grab me enough to want to invest money into it, I look at Empire on and off, but I end up spending money on 40K again.

In my area i have never heard of anyone playing, nevermind seen anyone playing WFB.

Its all 40K, so thats what i ended up with. I prefer the Warhammer Fantasy RPG over Dark Heresy though.

I have armies for both but can't say which I prefer, since I have yet to test out my new fantasy army. So, 40k wise I'd say my best army is my Space Marines. It seems I can only get lucky when my armor save is 3+
