I just picked up my pre-ordered space hulk today and love it! However, after putting the models together, there seems to be a lot of fragile little parts. In addition to protecting these parts and my paint job, the box is super packed when everything is put inside.
I want to keep the models with the game, and have no idea how I am to store these together. Does anyone have any ideas or some packing products they would use to keep the models with the game while protecting them during storage and from moving around?
I think if I were to find some foam and make cuts there won't be enough room to fit all the models. The heavy board peices together are also a concern when they move around in the box and may crush the models!
i wonder if battlefoam makes a foam to fit spacehulk models that fits in the space hulk box AND leaves space for the dice, rulebooks and pieces
or rather if they're planning to
edit: looked them up and it looks like they do have what i asked for: http://battlefoam.com/catalog.php?category=66
shipping is 7.00 bringing the total to 32.00 (for US customers)
i'll probably wait a little because i just spend 105 on the game but i 100% plan on buying this

"POPULAR CORRIDOR SPACE GAME FOAM KIT" hahaha, you gotta love all these "can't use a proprietary name" laws lol
looks pretty good though
You may want to try a simple bubble wrap, too. I recently moved and kept my minis in bubble wrap and they survived in perfect condition. Would be a cheaper solution but maybe less elegant.
If you put the counters, doors and door bases away in the baggies you can spread the tiles across the bottom of the box, put the rulebooks across those and the baggies and models should have more then enough room to fit comfortably.
I stored my guys like that for the trip to college and everything arrived in perfect condition.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
Just what I'm looking for. Hopefully it fits all the other game pieces in the box too since it just mentions having enough room for all the models but nothing about the board.
Edit: hmm wow, after shipping it's going to cost $32 for just that peice of foam for the models for Canadians. $42 for the board and models foam. I may have to reconsider that and see what else is around first! Pretty steep for one of the cheapest materials known to mankind

it's 32 for 2 trays. 1 to fit all of the models (customed fitted spots for each different model)
and 1 to fit the rule books and all of the pieces
all inside the original box
I'm in Canada and the shipping to here is much more, which makes it $32 for just the model tray
