I am interested in posting battle reports and I was wondering if there was a program out there I could use to help generate maps so I could use them in my descriptions. I think battle reports with maps are the best kind when they are written right. I didn't post this in battle reports because it isn't a battle report but a general request on information to help post the best battle report I could. So if anyone can tell me how best to create my maps I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance to all who reply.
I believe I've seen people make maps in MS paint, but other than that, I can't help you. Perhaps you can draw out a detailed map, color it, scan it, and then post the picture? Just a thought.
If Knowledge is Power, then Genius is Tyranny.
i also agree that battle reports with maps or the arrow like ones in WD with the boxes as in the WFB ones. that wouldn't be too hard to draw from a bird's eye view with little boxes with different symbols representing squads or the like
and then trees could be drawn from top along with hills shaded and so on and so forth
You guys are right, I will probably hand draw my maps with the boxes representing the units and sweeping arrows for the movement. I saw a cool battle report that did it that way but with an automatic slide show for the phases of each turn that looked really cool! That's something to aspire to. If Librarium Online can support that kind of battle report.
