I just got into the hobby WHFB coming over from War40k (Tau, Eldar, IG)
I really liked the much more tactical strategic aspect of WHFB from just watching 1 game with flanks and lines and I'm hoping to start an army. However I know nothing of how each army is played.
I am considering most of the good guys (High Elf, Britons, and Empire) but I also found Lizardmen and Orcs very appealing. Orks because I never got to collect them for 40k just going charging head on to CC
High Elf is also very aesthetically pleasing esp. since Eldar was my first army. Furthermore you could get even better models from GW LOTR that no one plays to substitute the spear men, Phoenix guards etc. How do these guys play? Are they like Eldar, elegant specialized and specific? (Finesse over Brute Strength)
I heard Lizardmen just got a new Codex. How good are these guys?
And as a minor point, in Warhammer no army has a codex, it has an army book. Codex is specific to 40k alone.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
