Agreed about the Archon. I also think the Warboss should be lowered or even dropped, Nobs as troops really only matter if you're nob-biking or trying to build a whole army with wound allocating shenanigans. He really isn't that impressive personally, certainly not as impressive as a properly equipped Archon.

And let's be honest, the Deceiver? Top 10? Really? (Point being, you'd honestly rather have the Deceiver in your army than Njal? Really?)

I mean he's good and all, but only by 5th edition necron standards. And those aren't high.

It's a close one between the Grandmaster, Archon and Big Mek. While the Mek individually is inferior to the other 2, what he contributes to his army is huge so I ranked him higher.

It was a tough decision between the GM and Archon. They're both big hammer units and among two of the best character killers in the game. However, the archon doesn't contribute as much to his army other than being a hammer while the GM lets a DH army use Land Raiders, and we all know DH cannot win without them (at least not in a competitive setting). Thus, I kept the GM on the list.

The warboss could be lowered, but I believe they should be within the top 5. They're the best HQ on arguably the best army in the GT circuit today, though time will tell if the new IG, wolves or even nids can dethrone them. The only thing that scares 2 warbosses and 5 squads of nobs are probably 4 runes priests casting JotWW or Murderous Hurricane or 9 Leman Russ demolisher shots.

Njal is good. I'll give you that. But without him, the wolves are still a quality army which would do well in any tournament. Without the Deceiver, the Necrons are going nowhere in the GT's (no offense to Necron players out there).

Well, the archon will give you greater flexibility than the GKGM, as he can have a raider, has brilliant combat flexibility dependant on how he's kitted (and what drugs he takes), can get a turn 1 charge in most scenarios if he's taken as an IC in a unit in a raider (drugs again), PLUS can unlock incubi in a retinue that have access to the best armour save in the codex (3+), a bucketload of good S power weapon attacks and are among the besy CC units in the game. Not much can stand up to these guys short of a SS/TH termie squad.

Archons also come in a cheaper, nicer Drachon flavor

True, the actual unit type is "dark eldar lord". They can cost anywhere between about 30 and 200 points!
