My wife is in school to get her 2nd degree, this one in Pyschology. The focus of her studies is on gamers, specifically on non-computer gamers. Something that, suprisingly, there is little to no pre-existing data on. So if you could click on the below link and take the survey it would be greatly appreciated.
Serious answers only please as non-sensical answers will result in us having to throw out your entire survey.
Home (Gaming Survey for Psychological Research)
*note my wife is a gamer as well and as such is not going into this with any negative bias, this is a oppurtunity to shed some positive light on our hobbies.
Interesting study, keep us appraised as to the findings.
Interested to see the results.
Chaos - 11W 0L 0D
Orks - 8W 0L 0D
Tyranids - 8W 0L 0D
I've never felt such an outlier before...
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Done, interesting survey.
Please post the results as soon as they are ready!
I had a few problems with the survey, for example: I have a local store but, they never hold tournaments and their large warhammer stock is literally covered with dust and no one plays there although in the survey I'm only able to say if I HAVE a local store or not. If I say no I'm lying but, if I say yes the following question assumes it's because of my own habits that I do or do not go there rather than the quality of the store determining if I visit it or not.
Not a big deal and I don't know what exactly her focus about the gaming community will be but, that's just a note I had about the store portion of the survey.
And the only reason I bring it up is because I'm curious what percentage of the gaming population lives in areas where gaming opportunities are abundant.
Also the friends question depressed me. It was asked in such a brutal manner.
Coming here (and imagine you'll have gone to other forums aswell) will prolly skew the answers for question 22!
Oh and making us face how much money we've spent on our hobby. *Yikes!* Perish the thought,

Cervantes: In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.
One question: how, by the beard of Dickens, am I supposed to know exactly how many friends I have? O_o
Anyways, good luck with the survey. Hopefully you won't have any dork who thinks it's funny to mess up the survey just because they get some cheap thrill for it.
I agree with AFG, the friend question really wasn't well though out, I put 15, as that is the size group I am friendly with, of those about 3 are my true friends who I have known through thick and thin, and maybe 7 others who I wouldn't say no to hanging out with, the other 5 are varying degrees less than that, but I would still consider them "friends".
Good luck with the results!
