What do you think is the worst character choice in 40K?
I was browsing the ork codex and you could take a loota and change it's kustom mega-blasta to a slugga and choppa (for free). Practically the same as having a basic ork boy, but with some extra cost. 9 points extra isn't much, but was wondering if there are some really odd choices in some of the other codices. (I suppose there's some good use for the above?)
That's a Mek actually (Lootas can have up to 3 per mob), and he gets his tools (repair an immobilized/weapon destroyed vehicle on a 4+), so it's not a total waste, especially if the unit is in a Battlewagon bunker. Give him the slugga and choppa instead of the KMB (S7 AP2 is nice, too bad it's 1 shot at BS2) for extra attacks should the Lootas ever see combat.
Going from the same Codex, how about Flesh Gitz? Let's pay more than Nobs for a unit of Nobs with no PK, no dedicated transport, and glorified shootas. Did I mention the rirdiculous cost?

Vanguard: Any of their wargear.
Character? The Tau Ethereal. Just... the Ethereal...
Helions, Warp beasts, Scourges, etc.
Aun'Va wants to have a word with you
the Pheonix lords: 200pt Exarchs which use a HQ slot.
The Old One Eye isn't the worst character ever by any stretch, but it is disappointing how he and similar uberfexes of 4e (5e too I'd imagine, but I haven't run that carnifex build in 5e yet) faired against the majority of Monstrous Creatures geared toward close combat.
Hope to see some more characters in here and hear how terrible they are!
Tau Empire Vespid stingwings. They are completely worthless.
