I just went off to a car boot sale this morning with my friend, little did we know what was waiting for us when we paid the 50pence entry fee.
Basically, in a couple of small tool boxes, barley visible under a table creaking with old junk.
We found the hidden treasure of the century (well, not quite... but for us it is )
Here's what when we divided up the contents I ended up keeping:
12 Khrone berserkers
33 chaos space marines
4 chaos space marine bikes
1 demon prince
5 metal chaos space marine terminators
5 plastic chaos space marine terminators
1 abbadon the despoiler
13 plastic space marines
5 metal black templar sword brethren
1 metal black templar chapter master
1 metal apothecary
1 metal banner barer
1 random metal space marine with bolter and auspex
2x metal techmarines (one with full servo harness)
3x metal neophytes/scouts
2x plastic dreadnought
1x forgeworld black templar dreadnought
1x drill combat arm for dreadnought (forgeworld)
1x Mk1 whirlwind
1x necron codex
1x necron monolith
10x necron warriors
3x scarab swarms
4x flayed ones
1x res orb lord (from huge boxset from ages ago)
I though I was very lucky, expecting it to be worth around £200, little did I know that when I added up the value it came to almost £600!!!!!!! (brand new RRP)
most of it is in good nick, som of it is even unpainted
Guess how much that lot cost me
after a bit I will reveal all
But now you have too much warhammer and you will have to get rid of it!
What did your mate get?
How much tell now? £40?
I once got 10 wraithguard for £3, well something like that, I can't remember and I thought that was good.
...tho I probably will sell most of it on.
Considering the setting, I reckon somewhere between £10 and £20. Either way, looks like you got a great deal and even if they're badly painted, you can just strip them .
Ok... me and my friend payed £25 for all of it (including his stuff), I payed £20 (I was owing him £10 and he put in £5)
I payed £10/£20 (id count it as £10.) so really Dutchie and Season are both right
That's just dirty! But all the same nice catch man
I've set out a '40k repair shop' in my dining room, making the models (such as the 1 missile launcher and 1 heavy bolter khrone berserker) usable again, luckily enough there is a huge bag of sprues with pretty much all the correct equipment on them and a whole lot more beside, with loads of chaosy mutation sprues.
and the paint jobs aren't all that bad.
Yeah, I love car boots as well, I've got a box of 70+ models and a few OOP books thrown in, all for about 25 quid, I sold most of them on and kept enough to start my Raven Guard, I think I sold about 60% for £48. Profit!
I found them in a Farmer's Auction!
......! Now I know where my stolen models went!
Just kidding. Beats the working guitar amp I found in the trash. Combine all to make Noise Marines?
