1) Yes! The cost of the metals is the only thing stopping me!
2) No! I gravitate towards other factions and armies.
3) I already own an Inquisition Army in metals
4) Maybe. They would need serious overhauls to get me interested though.
5) Maybe. If they keep the flavor and background they have now, I'd be interested.
Hello! There is a lot of speculation on whether recent events disrupting the availability of the Witch Hunter Codex and the absence of the Gray Knight and Sisters of Battle box sets from stores and mail order means the end of these beloved factions, or whether it means they will see a re-release soon.
My question for you all is: "If Gray Knights and Sisters of Battle were released as plastics, comparable to kits available today, would you seriously purchase an army of either or both?"
Grey Knights are still the most impressive figures GW has ever made, IMHO. If they kept their awesomeness while giving us the ease of use that plastics bring, I'd probably double the size of my army in a heartbeat.
It's ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL that any new plastics look as bad-ass as the metals do now - if they devolve into slightly fancy Tactical Marines, no way in hell will I buy them.
As for plastic sisters. I've got a whole ton of them, but if the new stuff matches the old stuff i'll probably get some more to add variety. If they don't match i'd probably still grab some to differentiate celestians from battle sisters.
That is unless GK does the time honored codex update of making the old good units poor and the old poor units good in order to sell more models, in which case I look forward to plastic penitent engines and repentia.
I wouldn't get an army I don't think, as I'm pretty much focussed on the armies I'm building/planning on building at the moment and am going to force myself not to start any others (curse you shiny new army syndrome!). However, I'd totally buy a box or so just to paint up and use for the occational contest. I do really like the ornate style of both the GK's and the SoB's so I hope if they do plasticise them they look as awesome, if not more so, than they do currently in metal.
Funny I was thinking of this today. Yes to SoB in plastic.. HELL YES!
Hmm. I've already got myself a box or two of metal sisters hiding about the place somewhere. Provided they kept a somewhat similar feel to the Sisters of Battle army (given that I've designed the entire fluff of my would-be army with a mechanised, flamer-totting feel in mind) I'd be bang up for some plastic sisters to help make the army a bit more individual and allow for some not so difficult conversions.
Hmm. But then I realise this poll is closed, and I can't actually vote. I probably would have gone with option 5, had I been able!
Plastic is so much better than metal... but god help them if they remove assassins from my Witch Hunters...
Is anyone else hoping the sept/oct release is WH?
