I was just thinking to myself, when I realized that I dont really know any girl playing warhammer, and ive only heard of a few.
Is Tabletop games are like computer games in that area, or are girls more attracted to the artistic side of it?
if there are girls in this forum feel free to agree or disagree, and if somone had met some girls playing Tabletop games and has an idea about it, also feel free.

Tabletop wargames are predominantly played by men, there's no doubt about that. But I do know a few girls in my area who play. Something I've noticed is that they don't seem to like Imperial armies. Almost everyone I've met starts WH40k with either Space Marines or Imperial Guard before moving on to other armies, but the girls usually go for Tyranids or Eldar first. I have no idea why this is.

I am the Aquila-Guerilla!
my girl friend interested with the hobby but tinks they are like toys..... and often has a go at me (joking wise) about it.....
other then that i dont know any girls and ive never seen one in my local shop, i do think it would be good for girls to play because they would prove quite a chalenging player, or maybe theyll feel sorry for loosing troops and wouldnt put them in expandable situations hmmmm oh well...

Yippee...this topic once again.
Yes, I know girls that play Warhammer. But it seems they are few and far between.
I treasure the moments I find a girl that understands exactly how dramatic the last moments of the Horus heresy were...or understands the subtlety of the Eye of Terror.

Well, I guess then I'm one of the few girls that actually play it. Started back in my last year of high school, and I wanted to find out more about 40K when I was looking through my friend's Codex and I was reading over the Horus Heresy. I was really touched by Sangunius' sacrifice and how everyone was willing to fight down to the end.
Note - art projects until I graduated always somehow revolved around the Blood Angels Pimarch.
I've played a few tabletop games both with my small 500 point armies of Eldar and Chaos Thousand Sons marines, and everytime I walk into my game store looking to play, a couple of people are thinking "Umm... are you to product of me accidentally sniffing glue before?" It's a lot of fun playing tabletop, and I like to use the "Dice hitting figurines" rule where if it does hit the figure, no matter what the figure was, it dies. (This goes very well when playing against a Dreadnought). The usual tactic I use is complete offensive, preferring to take out the most powerful figure on the board by just swarming them. :shifty:
And I love the fluff. All the funky backstories from the Chaos side and the "What happened to the Primarchs & other famous heroes throughout time."
I am the first, the last and only true annoyance you will ever meet.

I know a girl who's boyfriend plays 40k, so she started buying models purely for the painting aspect...***
