Want peoples opnions on the news that Games Workshop with be putting a 10-20% price rise on there entire range and the face that Maelstrom Games can no longer trade outside the UK.
Personaly I live in Aus so im not sure if im going to be buying from Gw here 1 Tactical Marine box set will be around $70-75 which i think is already a bit to much. Looks like ill have to look for proxy models from other gameing ranges.
So the basic question is are Games workshop getting to greedy?
The $70 conversion relates to about £50 which is just wrong, Now the expense I would pay to send a small box to Australia would be about £30 plus the £20 for the box gets to your price, but if they send en mass then they can get the shipping at a real discount so, me thinks that GW are just getting greedy. Would be far cheaper in the interests of GW and the players if they were to set up a factory in Australia and churn the models out for Australia and New Zealand from there.
