So you can kinda get the idea what I mean with the title. Is this new resin formula gonna be more expensive than the metal models? I mean I'm pretty sure it's worth every penny and all the models that have been shown on the GW website are brilliant and like they said, it makes fiddly models with heavy wings, guns, banners etc easier to use, what do you guys think?
It'll be more expensive.. but with GW a new pricerise is always around the corner anyway so you can basically consider this to be a pricerise ahead of the curve but we get better quality mini's instead
I read the price of tin has doubled in the space of 1 year, at that rate prices would be rising for metal mini's anyway. I consider this change a plus. The mini's on the GW site look great.
Ok. I don't know how much everyone knows about this, but the price increases have been announced. It is looking like the prices are going up by about 25% and include codexes and black library products.
Apparently the rise is due to the switching to finecast models, though this was originally going to lead to reduced prices. Don't suppose anyone has seen the new finecast models?
There has been a petition started against this rise in pricing as a lot of us feel that the price increase is completely unjustified and is going to hurt the hobby. already a lot of people are leaving the hobby because of it and without new ones to replace them we will all lose a favourite past time...so sign the petition and hopefully we can all have a fun and affordable hobby again!
No to the constant rise in Games Workshop prices!
Does anyone have a list of what they Mini are going to be released in the 1st wave?
If you look on the website each day this week they show you some more every day
There are over 100 products available to buy in your local hobby centre this Saturday 28th of May 2011.
The entire range is available to order on GW's website from next monday. (30th) - bear in mind this is a bank holiday and the website will most likely crash (at least that's what they are expecting at GW, but then knowing them - they would say that).
To the OP - I would suggest doing a search for GW hybrid resin on the forums as most of the questions you have asked have already been discussed (argued/whinged???) about in another thread!
Alternatively, Kuffy posted a list when he started a thread about this (Citadel Fine Cast Range aka resin/resin hybrid)...
Not sure if it matches up with what's going up on the GW site, though.
Some guy at direct just told me my Gazghkull Thraka will be finecast. This is especially good value considering I ordered it Friday and paid the old price......lol.
I note that it is now "No longer Available" as of today on the GW site. I presume this is because it's one of the initial 100 products in store at the weekend.
Come see my Necrons, Space Marines, Dwarfs, Orks, Goblins and anything else I feel like painting at my blog: http://modelminiaturepainting.blogspot.com/
