Hellooo! I recently moved to Chicago, IL, and was planning to meet a friend at the Battle Bunker this weekend. I was curious what it's like; namely...
whether it operates in any way like a LGS, with various free open tables, and whatnot.
what the crowd is generally like, if there is one, and whether there is ever/generally a wait for a table.
whether there is a better shop in the area I should be looking into.
general perception of the attitude.
Anybody been, or play in the area often, that could share their experiences/knowledge?
I live 2 miles south of Chicago and have gone to a couple around the Bunker and I will say that the Battle Bunker is by far the best I've ever been to. Me and my brother try to go up there at least once every 2 months just because of the amount of players and the ease to get games with other people on weekends. Weekdays are a little slimmer pickings most ppl have already paired up, would definitely recommend trying it out. I have never had the problem with not getting a table they have an adjacent room with probably 30-40 tables. Workers are nice also and will help whenever needed.

Thanks for the response, HAB! I know it's not the most thrilling topic thread to respond to, but I really appreciate it. With your positive review, I'll definitely be checking it out this weekend!
