Want to play again

HI

I want to get back to playing warhammer 40k again, but i am finding it hard to pick an army.
Im stuck between eldar, dark eldar and tau empire.
They all look really fun to play, but which one to go for is hard to do.

So just wanted to know what army you all think would be good to start off with again.

Rules-wise space marines are the easiest to grasp.

Now for me though thats not a factor on what army to play(though i play Dark Angels space marines)

The best choice IMHO is a choice with which you can identify the most fluff wise.So id suggest you peek into the fluff and see what you like the most.

try something different and some of my friends are going for it as well instead.
Im going to do the new empire. Really nice models.

I'd say fantasy is a great choice at the moment, it is currently half way through revamping the armies ( still 9 remaining ) but with a new edition of the rules released and so many armies updated you wont have to worry about buying a new army book in a few months time if you take an army such as empire, vampire counts, orcs and goblins, tomb kings, ogre kingdoms as they are the ones that have already had a new edition of army rules, I wanted to get back into 40k aswell as I have a tau army but they're vastly underpowered at the moment and require alot of skill and tactics to play which sadly I lack, so until the new rules come out ( which are being worked on as we speak ) I will be putting a hold on my 40k craving hope I've helped make life a little easier for you jumping back into the hobby !

Lol thats what i thought and try and do as well, but feeling that the craving is too much.

I feel like doing a 40k army and just likr pilot00 said i looked at background and ive come down to 3 armies.

Eldar- where id do a saim hann themed army but not red, just think it might be fun to play. But problem here tried to do an eldar army like 4 times but always gave up.

Imperial guard- seem kinda interesting, different in that ive always played elite, but feeling 50/50 as i dont really want humies in both systems.

Finally Chaos space marines- Id do Night Lords i reckon they are so freaking cool, i always play good forces but i did start chaos once but coz i thought i need to be like eavy metal but wasnt good enough i painted my little force in usual black legion which was soooo boring.
But now i wouldnt care much about painting and being like eavy metal. Did i mention i think theyre cool and in my mind theyre not evil since emperor is evil coz he is actually a chaos god. Yep.



Sorry for my weird rant or wateva. But which do u feel if i did 40k again i should do.

PS not bothered about if codex getting updated coz i got current three and wouldnt really mind buying new one.

All depends really dude! I guess whichever you have more models for would be the no brainer, but i guess you have to think if theres a reason why youve started the army and not finished it. Personally id be enclined to play eldar but thats simply cause they fit my playstyle more. Never been a great fan of playing any sort of elite army like marines or chaos and guard just look abit too ugly imo

Ill be doin eldar, and definitely finish them off this time. Before i think i gave up coz i was being lazy with them.
