Has anyone heard of people video taping their 40k games?
no but my friend once suggested it, i said it would be sad but come to think of it, it would be cool

You could study the other team's game tapes before a match, like in football.

I've never heard of video taping games, but I don't think there's anything wrong with taking digital still photos so they could post them with their battle reports! If I knew how to post them here I would put them with mine, come to think of it.
ive had my girlfriend record some of my games cos she loves the look of concentration on my face when im making my dice rolls however also what has come up is the small arguemtns that come up in a game that you dont really remember then you get the gamers (like me and the people who i play with) who make the sound of guns firing and the movement of the bullets and also teh looks of utter confusuion when someone contradicts your dice rolling (i remember one newbie got into a row with me a veteran of 8 years another veteran of 12 years and two members of GW staff who swore blind that the BS skill noted in the codex is what you need to hit someone i.e a IG needs a 3 to hit you and a SM needs 4) recording games and watchingt hem back is almost as much fun as playing them ^_^

I could see perhaps making a stop action film of a game, Snap a few frames after each unit is moved, or a frame after each model is moved.
I would suggest them having some sort of indicator showing what unit is shooting, and what unit is being hit. Might be interesting. Sort of a live action battle report.
O.o' don't see how anybody would want to watch a recording of a buncha guys standing around pushing toy soldiers across a table..but hey, whatever floats your boat ^_^. I mean I like playing the game.but I wouldn't want to sit there and watch somebody else do it on tv.I guess it would help you learn, I always watch the replays of games I play online to learn from what I did worng.
If i were to actually watch any 40K battle, it should be animated with the type of graphics WD uses for their battle reports, with the little shapes going around killing stuff

I think it would be great, then you could have a confessional, and people could talk about how they messed up on rolls and strategy.
Wow! That would be incredibly boring, watching you play a game. I could imagine maybe watching it like 20 years later just to see what you were like. Oh well, whatever.
PS- Maybe you could get John Madden and Al Michaels to call the battle.
