This armor is really pretty far-fetched. I can see limited power armor, but jumping building? What I would like is genetic engineering, engineering troops with super-quck clotting blood, natural immunity to all known diseases, and a blood iron content five times higher than normal, as well as super-adrenalized protein glands. Muscles dense as steel beams, bones that deflect bullets, super speed- wow, that would kick ass. Cosmetic gene surgery is a thing of the very near future. All we need is to kick all the conservatives out of the country and lift the bans on human cloning and genetic engineering, and man can play God. Even the kids can, with "My First Sin Against Nature" playsetâ„¢! Cleanup kit not included.

The main problem with the American Forces, is that they arent trained very well. If you look at the majority of the rest of the civilized worlds forces the training they recieve is far better... i look at the US military like the Imperial guard.. lots and lots of troops and goodies... but not so good. That being said my country is so sad it wont even go to war when its 2 biggest allies go. (Canada) That *****es me off to no end. Right or wrong if your 2 biggest allies go to war, you go to. As for special forces.. id take JTF2 over anything the americans pump out  America has all the newest and coolest toys though.. they spend more on thier military than my country makes in a year... Wth the current Administration they will never go into "super soldier" construction as Bush is a Zelot himself.

Hey, bush does not represent all us Americans. Still, it's said- the only things we seem to be able to do anymore is make French Fries and go to war. Friendly fire isn't as much of a problem as you might think, as most of our government hates the outside world and imparts that feeling onto the troops. Whoever said the fire was friendly? Allied, maybe, but not friendly. Stupid Bush.

DARPA did actually experiment with actual powered armour back in the 1970's. It was called Project PITTMAN and rather than just the exoskeletal systems of the Landwarrior programme, it was a full-up armoured suit with specialised weaponry (.50cal assault rifle, anyone). Anyway, they couldn't get it work, the power demands were too great and they shelved it. Interesting historical footnote, though.

I agree with GK Flarer. Let's make a real life legion of Grey Knights!

This is all IMO
the american army realy sucks your specil forces suck the only think special about them is that for an elite unit they are larger that some countries armed forces. the only thing the US army has going for them is numbers and the industrial out put (just like in WW2). i have to say the Australian Army sh*ts all over them in war games and their defence budget is ALOT less than the USA's. as a rule of thumb no american has the right to bad mouth another country (excep Iraq and similar) when u produce the freaks that go on the gerie springer show and only in america an inbr**d redneck with an IQ lower than thier foot size can have a high power gun sitting in the bottom of their closet. all americans should look over the border at canada their are few countries better to live in and it is a lot safer. u americans with your "nobel and patriotic ideas" realy anoy most other countries. ure medial loves to force its self on to other countries, i am all for the war on terrorism and deeply sypethies with u about 9/11 but the fact that im at school on the other side of the globe seing the planes hitting the 2 towers for 3 days non stop realy makes me think what is going wrong with this world and why do we have to be show that trajesty over and over it might sound mean but it isnt intended to but it had realy heald no effect or point for us. your movies as well, for instence pearl harbour, are a shocker of red white and blue love only america could make such a masicer look like a solid victory

well i've gotten way off topic and none of that was meant in any way as a mean go at america its just IMO and realy should be ignored. as for the futuristic weapons and such just watch documantaries on catalite or cable and u will find a lot of interesting things (like the guns with cameras and the little video screans on helmets)

as for the spiders web vests they arnt as good as they could be as the chemical reproductions in the labs arent as strong as the real thing co go run through an old abandond ware house for a bullet proof vest

ps.i a pologies for the most likley unreadable opinion and all spelling mestakes it is 1:43 while im writing

pps. any body who opposed the war in iraq is kidding them selfs if they think that sedam was going to wake up one morning and decide to be nice and stop killing his own people

XV, try seeing it from the rest of the worlds point of view. Personally I thought it was a marvellous irony to see the Al Qaeda, a group whom the USA funded against Communism (Under the "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" policy) turn against their former "employers".
