Who here plays for fun honestly? I play Orcs in warhammer so u know i have loads of fun with that......considering i loose everythime....lol......and Khorne in 40k...so now i have fun tryin to get across the board while i have 12 missle launchers comin at me.....or 15 plasma guns.....or 2 battle cannons.......All Im sayin is that the game is now turnin into a huge game of who can out broot the other and there is no more tactics left at all. What do u guys think. (N) (Y)
Cause the world we know dont beat to just one drum, what might be right for you might not be right for some, you take the bad you take te good and there you have the facts of life......sit ubi sit...good boy
No, I don't think there are a lot of tactics in 40k either. People can take quite powerful armies and have a huge amount of firepower, so the two options are sit and shoot the crap out of an enemy or run forward hoping you make it past their shooting. Or even worse, both sides sit there shooting or both sides charge madly towards each other.
Not a lot of tactics can really be used for World Eaters, which I play a lot, and Tyranids are usually fairly simple and just charge forward for me. Usually its my opponent who loads up with guns and tries to stop me.
Or they use both in harmony (shooting and close combat) and win every time ^.^
Yes, 40k is quite more simpler because Fantasy depends much on the movement.
40k does this to, but not to the reach of fantasy where move of 4" can do allot (the other person charges and stuff like that)
Though Its much about the army comperistion.
If you have to few anti-tank weapons and the opponent got allot of vehicles, then that can change the cause of battle. Same goes with Allot of anti-tank weapon and you face an ork army with many infantry units.
An army that is based on Shooting will shoot you, though you can still win
An army that is based on Assault will assault you, though you can still win.
And if an army includeds both and you use it wisely, you will win
Yes, a combination of both is better but its probably not as fun. And with the armies I usually play (World Eaters, Tau and Tyranids) there isn't really a lot of choice in taking a good-at-everything army.
People talk about flanking manouvres in 40k, I think thats a joke. It gives you absolutely no advantage to charge a unit from the side or rear, unless of course they have cover only on the front but everything has frag grenades anyway.
Warhammer 40k does lack alot of tactics that warhammer fb has but, I do think it has some tactics. 40k has always been a "who can beat the crap out of the other" type of game. Thats what makes it fun Personally i play for fun. I always like to play in a battle where it seems like your watchin an action movie. ^_^
Peter-"You gonna eat that stapler?"
Office worker-"Uhh sir you cant eat-"
