I'm 12, but unlike other pests, I'm into the painting, etc. Although there is this dumbtarded kid at my GW store who I think is older, but much more annoying.
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>another annoying thing i hate: 47,000 similies in one post. just thoght id throw that in there and see if anybody else hates it as much as i do.</div>

I don't like playing against the smaller kids. Even if they do know the rules, they tend to bend them.
If they are winning, they like to laugh in your face and taunt you (I can get over that! )
If they are losing, they get bored, and tend to ***** around during your turn.
That's why I stick to the Veteran Nights (16+) at my store, and try not to play anyone under 16 if I can help it. S'just not fun, and that's what this game is all about.
Well, I'm young for the hobby, but I can relate to kids taking up too much time and space.
I have a friend, comes over for a game with his guys and wants to play. He doesn't know the rules, doesn't bring his codex, and cheats. He accused me of cheating when I re-rolled a 1 becuase I was paying the points for marksman.
But if the kid is serious about playing and is respectful there is no reason he shouldn't play. I'm only 12 but would like to think I'm responsible. I mean, I can understand getting excited and into the game, but you should know when to can it and just play the game. And I've read the rule book 3 times from cover to cover, so I know the rules pretty well.

LOL younger kids. this one kid who is about 12, his parents are rich and buys him everything. he has had about 6 armies before u learned to play one. he now has cadians and was playing against a reall funny guy who played khorne. the kid had 3 commisarrs in his command squad and yarrik. the guy(al) was liek u cant have 3 commisars in a command unit. and the kid insisted he was right. nobody liked this kid at all, and finnally al (who is about 200-250 lbs but is never mean to anyone) blows up on him screaming at the top of his lungs "YOU CANT HAVE 3 COMMISARS IN A COMMAND UNIT. THIS IS WHY NOBODY LIKES YOU HERE, YUR PARENTS DONT LIEK YOU CUZ THEY DUMP U OFF HERE SO U BETTER TAKE THOSE OUT BEFORE I GET ANGRY!!" lol the kid started to cry, packed up his stuff and elft. havent seen him since.
<insert witty remark here>
i have to be more like al i just need his army

most of the people i play against are newbies and im fine with it because most honestly want to learn to play and care about the hobby except for this one annoying freshman who wont leave us alone, and hes always doing stupid things like last time riptor and i were playing in study hall we spent our opponents turn stopping him from starting a game of craps with MY dice or when he decided to play space wolves and bugged me for a whole period asking if i could lend him my deathwing army to play riptor after i had just finished telling him and like three of my friends about how hard it was to play deathwing, and whats more he doesnt even no how to play, and the worst part of it is that we're not allowed to get rid of him because of the school rules(even with the petition everyone at the lunch table signed to get rid of him.)

I am practically 15, and i do so have a querie regarding this somewhat hot topic, but it is not with the age of the gamers, for example - Kommisar, you said you were 14 and a half, and you say your problem is with the 11-12 yr olds, yet I am sure you would have at least been involved with the games workshop games for at least 2-3 yrs yourself albeit partially or not, so indeed you did have to start somewhere, that you have said already, but what I am bringing to light is the fact that it is not the age of the gamer that matters, it is their attitude and their interest, so you could have these problems amongst even the gamers older than us, sure, if they are using a massive table for a small battle, tell them, and recommend to them to use the smaller tables in future, because as you said, everyone has to learn at some point. If they turn up with all manner of mismatched models, then simply tell them that you are looking for a simpler or more linear battle, and suggest that they ask the help of a GW staff in order to construct a more obiding army.
All it takes is patience, think of it like this, you are helping those less experienced than you become better gamers, such as ourselves.
However, I must confess, I do have a dark side, I absolutely, completely & utterly, detest the despicable ploys of cheating gamers. Games a partly a game of skill, and partly a game of luck, both of which are part of the fun of the game, removing either of these factors through cheating is wrong and I am half tempted to start a half-assed campaign to end cheating forever by having it punishable by the most excruciating death of being submitted to countless hours of John Denver unto the grave.
But there is a minor flaw in my ingenious scheming, what would become of Parliament & its politicians if cheating was to be abolished ... No, the thought of it, my god no ....
Thankyou for listening to my advice, my ranting, and finally my raving.
Please remember that all of the above are my opinions and that's all they are, they are not necessarily expressed by others (come to think of it, they almost definitely aren't) So I shan't be defamated ( is that a word? ) in any way, shape, or form.
Thankyou Says I ( if anyone of you are still reading this entirely unthought through post).
