Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok. Im tired and currently in los angeles, the weather has been dipping into record breaking lows, so needless to say: my california-fingers are frozen nearly to the point of immobility. Because of this, I'll keep it short and sweet.
According to US copyright law, as long as you own the document you're quoting/ posting/giving info from, etc, you are within your rights to post up to 25% of the individual publications contents with out fear of legal consequences.
Furthermore, since we ALL own the actual codecies and rule books ((-wink wink)), as long as its not a public agenda, we can amongst ourselves ((through email or PM)) share scanned "back-ups" of our original books.
Well, whatever the US comes up with, it's still against the LO rules, which in this case supersedes the US Court

ah.. well.. I always just figured LO was worried about lawsuits.. so.. w.e. lol.
Yeah, you could, but apart from the lawsuits LO would get from GW, that's American law, in Australia it's 100% illegal, so, inadvertently, I would be prosecuted.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today because they *****ed me off.
Besides, most often companies don't even need a lawsuit to have a website taken down, a formal complaint against the ISP usually suffices. Or they simply bribe the ISP...
Yeah, theres always some moron that posts this about the Fair Use law, we've seen it all before.
And as has been said, GW is a UK company and hence laws are enacted and interpreted according to that country.
Anyone found to be sharing copyrighted material via PM on LO will be summarily banned pending further investigation. We have no intention whatsoever of being taken down, and by god I'll make sure it stays that way.
