making army lists
Buying the miniatures
Assembling the miniatures (includes converting)
Painting the miniatures (includes priming)
Choosing a mission
Setting up (before the game)
Calculating Victory Points
Other (explain below!)
Well I tried to make the above list as fair as possible, i thought for a little while about what are the major parts of the hobby. Anyways please use "Other" sparingly.
By the way I voted assembling, I HATE glueing models, which is why i partly decide which army im going to get by the models they have (metal or plastic). I dont mind glueing one or two parts per guy....but it just gets ridiculous, when you have to glue the torso toghether, the legs toghether, and all the arms, heads, grenades, little thingy ma bobs...UGH!
i'd have to agree i think glueing is the worst part, the rest is all just fun for me.

I love everything, except setup, such a bugger to do, I usually have so darn many models it takes like 20 minutes.

I also went with assembling the miniatures. Its just such a pain to have to glue together all the tiny pieces and make sure the poses are just right. Worst of all, I'm a perfectionist so I might take apart and reglue my mini's in different positions until I am satisfied.

I really enjoy gluing together models in unique poses and making conversions if I can find the inspiration. Its so fun getting the model just right so it really looks dynamic.
The part I dislike is painting. That is tedious choosing colours, getting setup, painting in bad weather, trying to get all the detail right... I procrastinate a lot with painting.
I chose painting, mainly because i can never find enough time to do it, what with work, exams and coursework. I have no time or the patience. :hmm:
Victory points are annoying. Recording what is half strength, damaged vehicle, is the unit at thje objective, who has how many wounds, consulting the rulebook every 20 seconds... <_<
I voted for choosing mission. But thats mainly becuase the people I used to play with only played 'Fight till your all dead'.
I want to try out things like 'Cleanse' and 'Take and Hold' where strategy is envolved, and missions are even better with the new difficulty tier.
Assembling can get boring too, especially with IG :hmm:

I voted painting, so tedious just rows of god damn models to paint! Thats why I go for small elite armies, setup also sucks.
