Have you ever tried playing with your opponents army, obviously this only really works if you have a regular opponent.
I am a Blood Angels player and i play against an Eldar army every monday, so last monday after the game we swapped codices, picking an army from each others chosen race.
I would recommend this to anyone who only has the one army that they play, you have to allow a bit of proxying as you may pick different units from your opponents model collection.
Playing the battle today highlighted alot of things for both of us, firstly we are set in are ways. I had to make a second army list as i had paid 15pts for guardians in the 1st list, i kept trying to move the space marine models, i kept rolling for black rage, he tried to fleet of foot his marines.
It does give you a different perspective on your own army though, he can now see the value of a large storm guardian squad and i can see how useful a lot of tactical marines with few specialisations is.
Really do try this.
Yeah, now you know what it's like to play multiple armies. There's 3 of us and 6 armies, and each of us has played each one at least once.I mainly only play Blood Andgels and Tau, and I've lost count of how may times I've rolled for Death Company at the begining of a Tau game, or rolled for Black Rage on a Fire Warrior Squad. It gets a bit confusing, but such is the burden of a fickle mind.
as i aqcuired knowledge of every wh40k race, read the codex, PURGED, and also been playing since 2nd edition...
i know a whole lot of these armies. my area is surrounded by new players, and some are in doubt with their own armies, or some have the army just dont know how to use them..
so . i usually swap sometimes, XD. yeah its pretty cool, especially when i play SM with some sort of skill besides the standard n00b.
yea thats always fun to do. i like playing with my friend eldar. ninja
Space Wolves: 3000+pts.
dark elves: work in progress
