You've probably read the threads on Warhammer addiction. Well here's what happens if you don't seek treatment.
After a few deals and trades, I've built up a rather large Orc army for Fantasy. There are about 1500 miniatures on the table (the boxes in the back are full) and only half my Orc army fits on the table at one time (over 3000 models, not points). That's a six foot long section of a door by the way. I really dread the thought of painting them all. Anyway this was just an excuse to play with my toys and encourage others to give into the addiction.
Well, as the person that started the addiction thread, I have to say... "Seek councelling!!
Your photo is a perfect example of what I was talking about and I thank you for posting it.
That's an impressive Orc army. I found when compiling my Space Wolves I got all the figures I might need in any circumstance and therefore I have way more figures than I'm ever likely to be able to field. I'd guess you are much like me in that respect.
Anyway, painting that should only take until around 2011 so not long to go now
NOTE: To any gamer just starting out..... print off Wolfraiders picture and mount it on your bedroom wall.
And don't say you Weren't warned

Woah. Thats alot of (unpainted) orcs.
I may not have spent as much money on warhammer as most of the people here, only started collecting a few months ago but i'm quite pleased with my investement because it has given me hours upon hours of fun, be it playing, painting or simply talking. I'm not lying when i say its one of the better purchases i've ever made. I've made alot of new freinds, both here on LO and in real life. This may be an expensive hobby but i think its well worth it.
Good luck with painting that. :p
Wow! That's really a big amount of models. But it would be awsome to actually play a big game with all of them but first it will take you so much time to paint them all...
woah im starting to buy more than i can paint and that picture may have saved me thousands of pounds cheers and erm were is this addiction post? did anyone see the blood angel army in white dwarf a few months ago now thats dedication
0.o Whoa..... That kind of makes me NOT want to get into Warhammer... I suggest you paint a couple of guys each week or day. Its not as stressfull and you get it done eventually.
Thats a mighty huge WAAAGH you got there. But i think ol' Haky's got you beat.
00:12:50-) (+Hard_Aun|sleepage) anyway, three months back i got out of bed and came downstairs loud, fast and naked with a club
Thats a Mighty WAAAGH! How many points would that army be(units only no lords or heros)?

I have no idea. If you averaged all the models out to 5 points each (it's probably higher) it would be over 15,000 points.Originally Posted by Magic69

Not shown on the table are another eight boar chariots, wolf chariots, some war machines, squiggs, lobbas, three of the giants, more boyz and goblins.
I don't know if anyone every noticed the number appearing entry in the old D&D monster manual for Orcs, but it said 30-300. I once had a player say, "Too bad you don't have enough models to put out 300 orcs. I'd like to fight that battle." (he was fairly high level) When I set a box of orcs out and said "Here's 500." he changed his mind pretty quickly.
Wolfie, ever considered joining a club, and doing mega battles?
You seriously have a warhost, not some gibberish ork patrol.
