Not sure where to post this but here goes:
1 - Are the VDR rules tournament legal? As in you can bring custom built vehicles to a tourney and use them without opponents consent? One friend says no, macguyvered vehicles arent allowed at all, another says yes they are 100% legal and dont require consent...
2 - When is the next Chapter Approved being released?
3 - How do you send in/ submit house rules, etc. to Chapter Approved? Any rules and regulations for this would be appreciated (if it is at all possible, I hear conflicting reports)
1- That depends on the tournament, and many will say yay or nay right in the tournament rules. I don't think GW's Conflicts allow them, too many options for overpowered vehicles.
2- They have been coming out with one every year, so it can't be more than a year away. Don't know if there was enough new stuff coming out though, as they did just update editions.
3- Umm... good luck. Might be better to try and get your content into a White Dwarf. In either case, I'd suggest picking up an older edition and seeing if there's any info there. If that fails, the GW website should have something up about that.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if it's wrong.
1. VDR vehicles are typically NOT ALLOWED in tournament. This usually includes war machines and flyers, as they are too powerful and can wipe out whole armies. The Chapter Approved book suggests the use of these vehicles in games with your opponent's consent. In my case, a friend at school or something.
2. 2004 is out now, but the next will probably be this summer, or earlier.
3. You should buy the current Chapter Approved and find out! It's loaded with updates and has instructions for submittting house rules and comments.
