Welcome to Librarium Online!
HI guy. I want to know what do you think of the game and have you played it.
I've never played but I do have the rules book, looks fun. But I suppose I need more than one other to play....

WHFRP is the BEST role play game IMHO. The richness of the world they developed and the amount of detail of character traits/professions all adds up to a great game. I played it for years and it got me into WHFB and later 40K. There are some great supplements out for it which makes getting into a game easier (Hogs Head publishing). Overall I'd recommend it over any other FRP game. The best way to start a game is sit down and work out the story - then work out possible branches. This adds to the fun, rather than making it up under pressure. Also, giving the players random characters can be fun it they're up to "getting into role". I played a weedy little scribe - randomly generated character and had some great games (had to think more than fight!). Another alternative is an old fashioned Dungeon adventure with miniatures representing the players - this does require scenery and a bit of planning.

I love the original Warhammer Fantasy RPG. The critical hits chart was always a blast to use. The rules were simple and the rich history of the world made for some great games!
Anyone pick up the lastest version that just came out? What are your takes on the new version? I saw a few sample pages and it looks similar to the old version but cleaned up and nicer looking.
