    Imperial Guard Models

How come every time I see IG models they dont look the same as my freinds or the ones on the GW website?

The ones my freind owns have visable faces, and dome helmets with metal crests on the front.

The other ones I've seen in the GW employ's army and in other people armies all look like WWI Germans with gas masks and spike hemlets.

    Whats up with that?

The first ones are the Cadian Shock Troops, and the second ones might have been Steel Legion troopers.

And then there are the Rambo-esque Catachan Jungle fighters...
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

Because the Imperial Guard have several different models all representing the same unit. Once each guard regiment had their own codex: Codex Catachan and Codex Armageddon for instance, but now they're all summed up in Codex: Imperial Guard and use doctrines in order to create diversity.

Since the Imperial Guard is so vast, there naturally would be many types of troops for all the types of worlds possible. Catachans for a jungle death world, Valhallans for an ice world, Steel Legion for an Ork-attacked world (Lol how else would I describe that).

    You would describe it... Armageddon

The guys with the spiky helmets and gasmasks were most likely Death Corps of Kreig (or whatever they're called).

Ha I was trying to describe the worlds without using the actual names. Oh well.

In the codex I htink there are a few pages full of various types of Imp Guard. Go check that out if you have the codex.

Thanks, that's what I meant. I was wondering what the term is... Anyway I doubt that there are any more answers to this question, and I reccomend that a moderator close this topic (Or explain why not to).
