    who gets to use assasins???

I just found my old assasin codex that was released with a White Dwarf a while ago.

So simply the question is, who gets to use them?? and is this Codex still good to use??

    Not without your opponents permission.

And nowadays, only armies with an Inquisitor (i.e. witch hunters, daemonhunters and, I'd guess, the forthcoming alien hunters) can use assassins, and you're only allowed one overall in an army.

any imperial force with an inquisitor. so if you really want an assissin in your IG, or SM army you have to have an allied Inquisitor first.

    yes it sucks.

well assassins suck anyway, only the callidus is a bit worth it, but they are still too expensive for my taste

they are all a little bit expensive, but they all have the potential to totaly change the outcome of the game.

i actually like the effect the vindicare can have on a game.

Yes, you can take assassins in any imperial army. You also have to have an inquisitor. That means you must ally with either DH or WH and take an inquisitor lord. You cannot have an elite-choice inquisitor because the one elites slot available is going to be used by the assassin. Codex assassins is out of date but the new profiles can be found in either the DH codex, the WH codex, orprobably the upcoming AH codex.
