    The shame of it...

I have just been completely disgraced as I had a small scale battle with my MOTHER who insisted we had a game and I LOST! The shame...

Before you all fall of your chairs laughing, I must say that she was extraordinarily lucky. You should have seen my face when I failed 4 SM armour saves at once and then went on to only hit twice with 14 attacks. *sigh*

I know 3 female gamers, well 4 but I only know of them they hang out at the GW.

But then again none of the gamers I'm freinds with are to girly unless you count a shaved head and dressing like a guy almost exclusivly girly (I'm exposed to alot of that so I guess my judgement is squiwed.

Play her again and wipe that maternal grin off her face

    Otherwise.....

Next thing you know she'll be inviting her friends around and using your figures for 'afternoon tea and warhammer 40k'

She may even decide to build her own army of Marines wearing sandals nice summer dresses

Seriously though... male or female, the dice do as they please so I wouldn't feel shamed at all.

I've played males and females on quite a few occasions but to me they all represent only one thing.... The Enemy!!!!

we need more feminine players to break to stereotyped gamer
Not sure about that... more females gamers perhaps, but not neccessarily more feminine ones

Yea, I find nick(y) much more fun to be around when her head is shaved and shes wearing baggy cloths than when she makes a halfassed attempted at dressing/acting feminine for her parents sanity.

Only issue is that she gets in trouble in public becuase when she wears her basketball jersy without a bra under it, well I'm sure most of you know how big the opening on the sides of jersys are and what people will see. In toronto its fine becuase women are alowed to go topless but out here in the 'burbs it caused trouble.

Oh man, that's the greatest story yet.
And it's true about begginers luck...rematch her and see what happens.
    Good Luck!

Errr, why did she insist you play? My mother would never want to, and I do not think I have met one yet who has shown interest yet so... Why did she want to?

My mother sometimes wanted to paint a few of my miniatures, I let her do some old ones.. But yeah I haven't come across any (mine or my friends) who are even slightly interested in playing even if pushed into it. They show fake interest just to be parents, but don't want to game.
