Ok today I saw a SMurf player feild 3 Land Raider Crusaders and 3 Termy Squads of 5, 3 squadrans of Land Speeders. he took a SM commander for HQ and 2 minimum sized scout squads for troops to stay within point limit (I dont know what it was but I remeber a guy saying Damn, only 3 short, he though the guy was over)
This is abuse of the rules. Needless to say he beat a normally constructed army of SM, then CSM and finally a cheese million railguns Tau army (got the Termys into CC with the Battle Suits second turn and those that he couldnt he just used the land speeders).
This jerk didnt give anyone a friggin chance, he ate all of the oppoents before these ones for breakfast.
I seriously think me and my freinds should petiontion this guy be ban from at least all prize involved torrnements at our club.
cant u just refuse to play him, that way hed have even less fun than playing an unbalanced list, but still i h8 ppl who play like that, like in fantasy u get skaven armies with a warplock engineer for each hero slot a unit of clanrats with a ratling gun for each unit of 10 jezzails and its just no fun to play, each turn he rolls to hit half miss rolls to wound most wound u lose alot of wounds, nxt turn and then when u get close ratling guns take u apart its just rolling dice then nuthin moreOriginally Posted by Osaria

Oh my club doesnt force the most up to date rules if that makes a differnce. Its becuase most of us a Cheap, most dont even own the 4th ed rulebook. Keep in mind the club age ranged run between like 13-30ish so depending on who your playing agenst determands how laxed the rules are.
lol Sorry the Green, Black with robes were the SM he fought lol his vehicals were all black. I dont rember even looking at his scouts.
Like it or not.... cheese or not.... everyone has the right to create their army in any way they see fit so long as it does not break the rules. The list you descibe, whilst unorthadox (and in your opinion 'cheesy') does not break the rules in any way if it is a Chapter designed from the SM Codex.
I'd like to know what gives a player the right to decide how his/her opponent should design their army. The army you describe sounds like nothing more than a weak version of Deathwing, and Deathwing can be beaten easily enough.
"I don't like it so I won't play it"..... I have to admit I find that attitude laughable.
Armies are designed in many different ways and with many different objectives in mind. That's the beauty of it. Perhaps those that call 'Cheese' would like us all to have armies that were virtually identical and therefore boring? Not so... to Chapters created using the new SM Codex the LRC is no longer restricted.Originally Posted by ShadowZora13

Similar story: My friend fields a LR in 500p and LR + LRC in 1000p. Plus his unit of GKT. However, I no longer consider it cheese.
Of course, cheese was the first thing out of my mouth when I saw him put down the LR in 500p. He was like "Cheese? What's that. Haha that's so stupid. What am I meant to do? Not win?"
It wasn't until about the 3rd game I had against him with his AV14 and 2+ army that I started to accept this. What happened that third game was that he lost the LRC and the unit of Termies to some shooting, and then I hid the rest of the game. I ended up winning solidly simply from one lucky shot and one round of shooting against some ds termies.
The inexperienced cry cheese.
Of course, then there's wraithlords...
Ah, Zap guns... I love seeing the Eldar player's face when I hit his wraithlord automatically and then roll the S of the shot on 2D6. Never rolled less than 8 yet. Then again the Zapper and the burnaz are the only things in my army that ever bloody hit and that's only coz I don't have to rollOriginally Posted by psteve
There's always a way to melt the cheese.
Exactly there is always a way to beat so called "cheese" armies. You have to taylor your list to effectively use its weaknesses to your advantage.Originally Posted by robotnik
